Same Same But Different is a story that follows three Iranian-American women who have different degrees of connection to their home country.

We wanted a song that captured the feeling of living between two worlds, one that blended the American upbringing with the sounds and nostalgia of a home far away. What better song than Suddenly I See!? A girlhood anthem.

We teamed up with incredible Iranian-American vocalist @yasimuse and composer @neumanjodymannas to bring this vision to life. Listen closely to hear the beautiful tar and setar played by @areonmo

Now streaming on Spotify and Apple Music!!

about a year ago I woke up in Iran to the first round of Muslim Bans. It still is weird thinking my life could be completely different if this was in place when my dad was immigrating. But here’s my beautiful homeland inshallah you can see it one day too. (And maybe my cousins can come to America) taken in Iran by @yasimuse
