i’ve stared at this for so long because i don’t even know how to put this kind of pain into words.

3 hospitals. 5 surgeries. 5 times being told “this should fix it.” 5 times putting my trust in doctors and waking up hoping my life would finally feel normal. instead, surgeons accidentally poked a hole in my kidney and left me with damage and pain i now have to live with. i’ve had more ct scans than i can count.. so much radiation that my insurance told my doctors “no more,” saying i’ve had more than a 70-year-old would in their lifetime. i even had a chunk of my kidney removed because of a rare case that was causing daily uti’s.

and after all of that… i’m still struggling.

i have scars across my stomach that were supposed to mean healing. instead, they’re daily reminders that it didn’t work. the hardest part isn’t just the physical pain — it’s hearing “we don’t know” over and over. it’s the mental and emotional exhaustion. the tears no one sees. the nights i wake up shaking from pain.

some days i feel strong. other days i feel completely defeated.

but through all of this, i am beyond grateful for my support system. the ones who sit with me, pray for me, hold my hand, check on me, and remind me i’m more than this pain. i truly wouldn’t be here without you.

this is an everyday battle. and even when i’m tired of being strong… i’m still fighting. by @yates.jada17

happy birthday to my very best friend. how lucky am I to have gotten the blessing to have you in my life. i thank god everyday for handpicking me as the one to spend this life with you! you deserve to be celebrated every single day. there is no one in the world like you, the most uplifting, kindhearted, patient, sentimental, reliable, supportive, hardworking, dedicated, and genuine person you really are. and i still can’t believe i have the honor of loving you everyday. today is all about you and i pray you never lose sight of how much you not only mean to me, but everyone around you. whoever gets the chance of ever entering your life, should call themselves blessed! you light up every room you walk into, and always create smiles on everyone’s face. you’re one of a kind my love, and i hope you feel as special as you truly are today. i wouldn’t be who i am without you & i couldn’t do this crazy thing called life without you by my side. you truly are my saving grace and my constant. you keep me going & you support and lift me up no matter what. thank you for loving me to the absolute fullest every single day and always being a true representation of a good and faithful boyfriend. you amaze me every day & i can’t wait to celebrate you forever. happy birthday sweet boy, i love you more than you’ll ever know🤎 by @yates.jada17
