Headliner Max Meisel (@maxmeisel86) has been touring with Tom Arnold, and now he’s bringing his comedy to Santa Barbara. Joining him are Juli Polise (@julipolise), comedian and founder of LA’s Laughaholics, and Dave Yates (@yatescomedy), whose credits include Laugh After Dark and SiriusXM. Any artist you’re friends with making stuff in an age where making anything is a mental illness factory could use your likes, shares comments. It matters

Nobody will share your shit like strangers on the internet. But why? Is it embarrassing to boost the homies? I comment even emojis on friends posts and reels bc it helps. I see comedian friends on IG that are approaching 10k followers or views etc and I share their reels to my stories.

This is the digital age where nobody is taking chances on any artist unless that have a high ROI (return on investment)

The fact is, to steal an old colloquialism, it takes a village. Albeit a digital one.

To the makers of things, if you see someone with a huge following, remember it doesn’t make your value any less. It’s about the making of the thing, not the results. I know scores of comedians that got boosted by huge acts and that’s why they have their fanbase. Just keep making. And when you feel like quitting, be gentle to yourself and create some more. Being fully engaged in the present moment is freedom. It’s Caturday. Give them kitties some skritches and an extra scoop of wet food. by @yatescomedy
