Or we could prioritize inclusive infrastructure that isn't catered to the male/white-male experience.

that said, I accept venmo and zelle.

I spend so much time planning and worrying for my future self

Only to neglect myself in the present

Even though the present self Exists, and the future self is yet to be (or never will)

How unfair is that?

How misguided to think that healing and growth exist only in something to come, rather than right now?

Is there a balance of attention - to the present, and future? Even past?

I often miss it.

Music, however, brings me to the present. It requires a connection with moment to moment vibrations. It gives me permission to understand how this song or note or piece occurs right now, rather than how it occured before or how it may occur later.

@thelumineers thanks for writing this song. I carry it a lot with me.

In the terrible wake of losing Roe, I've reflected on the Feminine and the Masculine.

Not the binary in gender or sexuality constructs, but the divine dualism inherent in cosmic being: yin and yang, above and below, Osiris and Iris, Earth and Sky.

Because my Feminine aches with sorrow as they face unanswerable suppression. Their stillness tested to unimaginable lengths.

And my Masculine cries in horror as their contributions to our experience of the cosmos are weaponized, exploited, and sullied, used to control rather than protect or communicate.

Alongside the harrowing reality of stripped human liberties, an attack on reproductive justice for human beings symbolizes an attack on the primordial Stillness that is the Feminine, existent in the very fabric of our atoms, galaxies, and daily actions.

And if in the fabric of space-time, where dualism is innate (protons-electrons, heat-cold), primordial Stillness beats in all of us - man, woman, non-binary. The feminine lives in all of us.

So this ruling affects us all, to our very nature. The collective and individual confronts a gaping imbalance. .

What happens in perpetual imbalance?

With a codified status quo of exploiting masculinity and trampling feminity, this is death.

Death is inevitable. Yes. But not by a power obsessed political system.

To counter death, I urge myself to heed the example of the Feminine in the face of adversity.

Return to the Stillness.

Which sounds fucking infuriating when managing the waves of anger and fear, wrought by misguided powers, that appear so necessary.

Yet Stillness is insisted. The cosmos began in quiet, before the Big Bang, and will return.

In Stillness, respective fears are able to process, a clarity resumes after expression of pure emotion - rage, sorrow, grief - and decisive action reveals itself from a place of peace (Love) rather than hate or anger.

I encourage myself to intentional action. I journal, cry to myself and loved ones, sing, lay fetal for hours. Then, like pausing in a remote wood, peace ensues.

Action is revealed.

*Check my story for why I speak of "stillness" and "feminine" almost synonymously. I ran out of characters here. by @yateseamon

Hearing about Biden's continued bid to compromise infrastructure spending is incredibly disheartening for me. The longer legislation is stalled, the more that is cut, the less impact any such legislation will have, especially that pertaining to green infrastructure spending (which is a major focus of the bill). At the beginning of a decade where so much is at stake, where cities will flood and burn globally this summer, and millions more marginalized and low-income communities will be made refugees and unnecessary symbols of the climate disaster, compromise is a fools errand. Only drastic action will alter the current course. To be clear, we not only have a chance to restore planetary atmospheric and climatic balance, we have countless solutions available to us that are ground tested to reverse this course. "Possible" is an understatement. This issue lies not in solutions, but in institutions like the White House who still believe incremental change is substantial enough to make an impact. The issue is Senators (both Democrat and Republican) proposing gas taxes on individuals when the vast majority of greenhouse gas emissions come from corporations, specifically in the fossil-fuel industry. The same corporations that will continue to skirt taxes that fund the solutions for the very problem they've exacerbated should Biden's compromise be realized.

Dismantle the filibuster. Push ahead with dramatic intersectional green policy. This is the Front-Range in Colorado where I currently reside. It may be awash with flames this summer. @whitehouse @chuckschumer @senschumer taken in Boulder, Colorado by @yateseamon

Permafrost: a permanently frozen layer below the Earths surface. It consists of soil, gravel, and sand, usually bound together by ice, remaining at or below 0C (32F) for at least two years. - National Geographic
_
CO2 held underground by permafrost is double the amount contained in the atmosphere and warming in places such as Northern Canada, Russia, Greenland, and the Arctic, is thawing permafrost. The more permafrost thaws, the more carbon is released, the more warming there is, and so on. Permafrost also contains viruses and diseases known and unknown that have been locked in below freezing temperatures for hundreds and thousands of years and can be unearthed due to thaw. I've attached two articles, as well as a 2020 report on permafrost thaw and it's consequences if you want to read more.
_
Although there is a pandemic, these crisis are connected and consequences of inefficient systems already in place. The climate crisis is, along with thawing permafrost, factored by countless phenomena that are growing exorbitantly daily and will soon be out of control if we are complacent.
