A request from Mum and Dad for some oxtail soup 🧡
so I recreated a family favourite that we used to enjoy growing up in Malaysia - at the restaurant in the old Weld, Kuala Lumpur.
It is so comforting: fall-off-the-bone tender oxtail in a rich, peppery, thick soup. Yumm! Served with a bread roll and butter, it truly transported us back to The Weld! 🥰

When you have figs... 💜
They are lovely when roasted and scented with a tiny bit of rosewater. Always yummy with Greek yogurt-and for an extra crunch, make some pistachio and sesame brittle. Just a perfect sweet treat!

Harissa, harissa! 🌶
A warming merguez, aubergine, and chickpea casserole in a tomatoey harissa sauce, and a simple tangy labneh with harissa topped with sardines, shallots, olives, lemon, and olive oil. Yummm with crusty bread!
