Aunque ya no estén con nosotros en vida. Es un orgullo ser nieta de dos personas hermosas. I’m standing infront of my grandparents’ home in the fourth picture. A home that was once quite literally four walls made of adobe. My grandmother loved collecting and framing memories in forms of pictures. She had many of my beautiful mom hanging on her living room walls. 🤍 Mexico wasn’t the same without them. Pero sentí a mis abuelitos muy cerca de mí. 💕 by @yazmont__

Hola friends and family!

I’m so excited to share that I’m officially running for Miss New Mexico USA! 🌶️✨

You might be asking yourself… Why pageantry?

If you know me, you know I’m someone who loves to try new things and challenge myself. I believe growth happens when we step outside our comfort zones. Not only for ourselves, but to inspire others to do the same.

I’m the eldest of four siblings, and a proud first-generation Mexican American. I’m also a first-generation college graduate. The journey to get here hasn’t always been easy, but I would choose it again every single time. My goal has always been to raise the bar as high as I can, so the generations that follow me, especially within my community, see their dreams as possible, not intimidating. 💭

To me, pageantry is about so much more than external beauty. It’s about celebrating women as a whole. We have dreams, ambitions, resilience, compassion, intelligence, and purpose. We are leaders, daughters, sisters, mothers, athletes, engineers, educators, medical experts, creatives, entrepreneurs, and innovators. I’ve been blessed to know incredible women who embody these qualities every day, and I would be honored to represent them on the Miss New Mexico USA stage. ✨

The blues got nothing on you, when you’re active 💪🔥

Photos I shot of Yasbeth during this week’s #ImmortalMeetUp I wanted to see what happens when you splash blues on blues during blue hour. Also can you believe this is only her second time in front of the camera? Safe to say we had a blast and shot amazing photos (in my very biased opinion)
