MCC win an absolute thriller vs Yorkshire Asian XI! 👏🏏🫣MCC played the Yorkshire Asian XI at the amazing Park Avenue Cricket Ground in Bradford. MCC batted first in the 45 over fixture and got off to a good start with our No.3 Fletcher Coutts scoring a brilliant 76. 👏Yorkshire Asian XI fought back well, thanks to top spells of bowling from Ibrahim (4/52) & Mustapha (2/18), but a late flourish with the bat from Alex Lilley (47) got MCC up to 240 at the close of the innings. 🏏MCC got off to a great start with the ball with Simon Lambert (2/59) taking the wicket of both openers in a blistering spell. YAXI fought back brilliantly though with Khizar (83) & Malik (71) putting on a sensational 150 partnership and looking like they were home and dry! 😬MCC skipper Tuseif Mahmood (4-45) had other ideas though taking 4 quick wickets whilst being ably supported by Sam Dale (3-45) as Yorkshire Asian XI would lose their last 5 wickets for 10 runs giving MCC an unlikely victory by 25 runs! 🤝🏏A cracking game worthy of the incredible venue and a huge thanks to The Yorkshire Foundation for all their work putting the game together.
