Can’t win then all but you definitely can win some! Finally got my hands on a pair of the viral Fivefinger shoes, the Vibrams, right from the European source. As a tall girl, I definitely have bigger feet and it’s always such a struggle getting shoes in my size/ to have the proper fit so I was happy to go in person! The ballet flats are sold out for the next year 😩 but I did get my hands on a black pair and I am OBSESSED. What do you think of them? Do you like or hate the trend? 🍒#london taken in vibramlondonacademy by @ye.worldwide

Going to Brazil and seeing myself reflected in the culture is so mind blowing but also so self assuring.

Brazil is filled with people from the African diaspora. For so long colonization, European beauty standards, and the end of slavery have impacted the way that Black people present themselves. In Brazil, it feels the complete opposite. Afro-Brazilians are resilient in the way in which they express their natural hair textures.

Accidentally hit send way earlier than I intended, but edit this caption as I go. Cahuita, Costa Rica for our graduation trip. ☀️

This was actually a crazy location to think about when you first graduate, but … whatever. These are the only photos I have since I broke my phone, But!!! We were 4 hours away from the airport and Deeply into the Jungle. It’s extremely humid in Costa Rica, and we pretty much overpacked in the most embarrassing American way. #

Naturally in the forest, the bugs are huge, and you can hear every single Forest sound. Our Airbnb was focused on natural preservation. The pool was recycled rainwater and everything was composted. We had breakfast included every day, and a guide who picked us up .

This is a very relaxing trip and we pretty much spent nothing. I brought under $400 and we did one excursion. We primarily stayed on beaches, and ate local dinner. Our one activity was the water tour and a cacao farm. Looking back on it. I do regret not going out more, but it wasn’t the energy of this trip. I will definitely visit again to see more of Costa Rica. taken in Cahuita, Costa Rica by @ye.worldwide

🔆NYC December 9-13, 2021

Oh what a baby I was!!!! This was my first time in NYC and I immediately decided I was moving here post grad upon touch down. We came to support a @iirvinmason in a show and he graciously let us stay in his Bronx apartment so free housing🤑.

The flight from LAX to NYC is 5 in a black hours, totally between $300-$400. Budget was $220. It was dead of winter (not that cold though) and we got a few touristy things done. Visited Times Square, and Central Park , completely free. We went to go see my first Broadway Show: Slave Play (HIGHLY recommend the read) $75 for pretty good seats. Not before we got ****** up from bottomless at the Mean Fidler (iykyk) $50ish. We also got to visit @roosterharlem and saw a live jazz show.

Of course the trip was a 10/10, I moved here DUH. But I remember how exciting everything was beyond here and how terrified I was to be a “train story” . Turns out everything would be absolutely fine. taken in New York, New York by @ye.worldwide

Puerto Vallarta , Mexico 🔆

Unfortunately this trip feels more like a fever dream because I lost ALL footage of it 😓(. Don’t forget to back up your phone ). Anyways this was my first time out of the country and my first time at an all inclusive and I went innnnnn.

I traveled here with a group of about 50 + for Spring break. The city itself is extremely walkable and safe for tourist. Before going to the all inclusive, we stayed at an Airbnb about 12 minutes away by car. I was terrified of the rumors I heard about Mexico and definitely fell prey to the propaganda/ prejudice perspectives of it being “dangerous” when in fact it was very safe!

Keep in mind this is a very college budget. We stayed at Buenaventura Grand Hotel, with 4 girls 2 queen beds totaling at $444 each. For this trip I took a total of $180 extra cash, only purchasing only one excursion of a waterfall hike for about $75. The all inclusive definitely favored me when eating and drinking and American dollars stretch far.

I would give this trip a 8/10. Personally, I wouldn’t visit PV again, I feel as though I seen enough of the area and would want to go to different cities in Mexico! 🇲🇽 Follow for more! taken in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. México by @ye.worldwide

Kauai, Hawaii
September 7-14,2021🔆

Y’all… I had to take it back to the OGGGG travel destination: Hawaii. This was the first time I ever got on a plane! I went with a group of college friends and it was legit at least 20 + of us living in a house with 3 rental cars. Completely chaotic and amaazing 🐠.

This was my junior year of college and the girlie was extremely broke. But splitting it with do many people made it extremely attainable. I had imposter syndrome and truly didn’t want to tell anyone this was my first time ever being anywhere. I had a hot $150 on me and I couldn’t do any of the excursions but I enjoyed TF out of myself.

It was decided early on that we would be super conscious of the land and live like a locals. For food, I primarily used my food stamps (shoutout to college) to make meals, chilled by the beach and enjoyed my friends. 10/10 would recommend and desperately want to visit more island . by @ye.worldwide
