My sweet Alyssia—my LeeLee, my best friend, my sister, my soulmate, my heart.

It’s been 31 days or 744 hours since you left us & I still don’t know how to navigate this new normal without you. We’ve been friends our whole lives, sharing countless laughs, tears, memories, and moments that only you and I could understand. You weren’t just a part of my life—you were woven into it. You were part of me.

As hard as it is to accept that I can’t call you, hear your voice, or hear you say, “Bryton Joseph,” I find comfort knowing you’re my guardian angel now, watching over me and reminding me that our bond will never end.

Every time I see a yellow butterfly, I know it’s you visiting me. 🦋💛

I’m forever blessed that I got to experience a love and friendship as rare as ours. Nothing between us was left unsaid. You knew I loved you, and I knew you loved me. That gives me peace.

I’ll carry your memory, your laughter, your love, and your beautiful spirit with me for the rest of my life. Death may have taken your physical presence, but it could never take what we shared.

😪BROKEN-HEARTED💔...To the world you were known as “Peanut” to those close to you would know you as “DP”, but for me i got to know Darren! God placed you in my life for 11 years; throughout those years we watched each other grow n rooted each other on! I’m not going to lie you took half my heart when you left bruh and that’s a pain i hope no one ever feels! I keep replaying Monday over n over again in my head because that was our last time together; i keep thinking of how we cracked up the whole day and just talked n caught up (just like old times)! You were so happy and just full of life that day and i was so proud to know i helped you on a huge accomplishment by getting your new car! I got on social media and all i can do is just cry because you touched so many lives with your comedy on IG! Man you have fans in Nigeria, England, and other places as well! You were special brudda, you would walk into a room and instantly light it up with your energy and presence! It hurts me most because i know you were on the right path for you n Pop; i swear you loved that kid more than life itself! I have my moments where i just break down crying and only you could get me like this; i not only lost a close friend but i lost my shield, my therapist, my rock, one of my biggest supporters! In many ways I’m upset that i rushed to get away from you to go handle business Monday; had i known i would’ve stayed a little longer but i refuse to question god about it! Now what i can say is I’m thankful because the lord allowed me to spend some of your last hours here on earth with me and it was uninterrupted bliss! It’s like you told me in so many ways that you were leaving soon and i was to blind to see! The thing that I’m most thankful for is that your final goodbye to me wasn’t a regular goodbye these words keep repeating in my head over and over again....”Bryton thank you and i appreciate everything you’ve did for me, I love you boy don’t ever doubt that” before closing my door you made me tell you “i love you” back n that is what I’m grateful for!
