Today I am proud to be a first-generation graduate, receiving my second degree in criminal justice. I want to take a moment to thank God for giving me the strength to not only begin this journey but to see it through to the end.

To my parents, who have sacrificed so much and supported me in everything I do, thank you. I truly don’t know what I did to deserve the blessing of having both of you by my side, but I am forever grateful God blessed me with such supportive parents.

To my little brother and cousins, I hope my journey inspires you to reach for every goal you set for yourselves, and know I’m here to support you.

To my aunt, who passed before I could accomplish this goal. Thank you for the love, support, and motivation you gave me throughout my life.

This achievement is not just mine it’s a reflection of the love and encouragement from all of you.
