Let me introduce myself again… My name is Daniel and I am a visionary firestarter, the kind who builds worlds out of ideas and rallies armies (and hearts) to make them real.

They say “do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life,” but as a self-employed creative, I’ve found it’s more like learning to build a plane while you’re flying it. Figuring out how to turn a passion into a sustainable career is one of the toughest puzzles to solve. I’ve been there, balancing the “dreaming” with the “doing”. That’s exactly why I’m so excited for this conversation!

Alhamdulillah for a Ramadan that felt so full in the quietest ways.

I still can’t quite put into words the rezeki of starting my first week of Ramadan in Makkah — a place that softens you, grounds you, and reminds you of what truly matters. From there to home, through every prayer, every iftar, every small moment in between… it’s been a journey of returning.

Returning to Him, to family, to myself.

It wasn’t perfect — some days were heavy, some days I felt like I could’ve done more. But maybe that’s the beauty of it… showing up anyway, trying anyway, and trusting that He sees it all.

Closing this month with nothing but gratitude in my heart.
For the lessons, the stillness, the people, and the unseen ways He’s been taking care of me.

Ya Allah, accept it from us.
And if we are given another Ramadan, let us arrive better, softer, and closer to You.

“Indeed, Allah is closer to you than your jugular vein.” (Surah Qaf 50:16)

This trip wasn’t dramatic. It wasn’t loud. It was quiet… but certain.

For a while, I told myself it was just timing, logistics, coincidence. But deep down, I knew it was a nudge. An invitation.

I didn’t come here because everything in my life is perfect. I came with unanswered questions, with fatigue, with things I’m still working through. With plans that didn’t unfold the way I imagined.

Somewhere along the way, I forgot that I don’t have to hold everything together on my own. That He is the Best of Planners. That surrender is not weakness.

Umrah doesn’t erase scars. It doesn’t magically solve timelines. But it recalibrates the heart. It reminds me who is truly in control.

This time, I didn’t come because someone asked me to.
I came because my heart needed to.
