An avatars goodbye.

I watched atla for this first time and I found aangs character to be quite sad if you thought about him for too long. I think that in the series, even though they touch on it, it doesn’t really hit him that it’s been 100 years. My mind keeps going to when after it was all over, when everyone for a moment can think about returning to their homes and aang instead has to process that he no longer has people to return to. This is my interpretation of him finally being able to sit with what has happened and finally giving them a proper goodbye and his version of a funeral. I really did love this series so much and I’m so sad I finished it so quickly🥲 I’m happy I can get to now watch tlok and the comics atleast, so it’s not completely over 🩵

A whole year later!!

I decided to redraw this digital sketch of death note Misa and light, mainly as a gift for someone and I’m happy at my improvement!

I’ll be painting it in for her too, so it will be more of an illustration, but let me know which version you prefer!! 2025 vs 2026 ✨💕

I indulged myself in some original art!

This is an earlier idea for the storyline of my ocs, where Cori had an older sister who owns a cafe. They end up hiding there abit before the cafe opens up.

Some context:
The bright on is a shooting star that fell on earth, her name is Laila.

It’s not a magic note pad for no reason 🌝✨ … I’ll see myself out..🚶‍♀️

Drew one spell for this video specifically and realised it’s a lot harder than it looks, I understand coco’s difficulty rn🙏

✨🌟It’s done! 🌟✨ I honestly couldn’t put this down!! so I guess you guys get this drawing earlier then when I was gonna post it 🙂‍↕️

I love coco as a character so far, I find coco very reminiscent of when I was younger looking at all the artists who were so much better than me. Her joy and awe for magic is so infectious. I wanted to show that with this Illustration! 😊

(Anyways I’m anime only so far, I’m hoping to read the manga once this season is over 🥳)

How do stars grant wishes?🌟✨

Something I’ve been loving about drawing my oc is the small puzzle solving in design such as this! There was a little more solving into it but I’m testing out a new editing process right now ;)

I started by actually understanding what shooting stars (or meteors) actually were, which is where the idea of her throwing a “piece of herself” came from!

I love the art process such as this, the magic staff idea was the first disign choice I ever done, very basic, but I’m glad it lead into something great!

What would be your first steps into solving how to make a visual demonstration of something abstract?

There’s only so much you can fit into 1 minute 🥲

Long story short;
I don’t choose what I get inspired by, I simply ask as much questions as I can and that it leads me to different cultures, things and ideas that then spark inspiration!

Asking questions will narrow down the start points, eventually you can narrow down your research to the ones that you feel resonates the most with your character or world you are building and pull ideas from there.

For example, when I was having trouble in the beginning of my outfit design, I decided to ask what sort of climate space would be, I looked it up and found that while space temperatures are cold, stars are extremely hot, so in my mind it made sense to present these characters as being dressed for the cold.

After that, I knew I wanted my characters to have a lot of layers and be dressed for the cold so naturally I’d look up places that may have that so that I can have a guidance on what my characters could dress like, which lead me to the cultures I was inspired by for their outfits

I hope that answers your question or atleast gives some insight on how I get inspired by certain things!

PLEASE READ‼️ I am obviously not a monk, or buddist, so I had to research. I tried to research as respectfully and fully as I can, but I’m only human so if you think there may be mistakes and such please tell me KINDLY. Do not be rude -Thank you.

Funerals are a very important thing for Buddhists as they believe it assists the dead into a new existence. So I would imagine that being able to give them a proper goodbye would be important to Aang.

For the birds, I wanted it to be a visual representation of the “sky burial”. As if the birds are there to help Aang in assisting the spirits. But also to represent the life that is still within the ruins. Though the monks and the culture is no longer there, their teaching of love and life are embedded in their foundations, attracting life even after death making the ruins feel slightly less empty.

The hand is meant to be reminiscent of the abhayamudra a hand sign, it’s meant to dispel fear. It symbolises strength and fearlessness, and divine protection. It’s my way of showing the air nomads communicating with Aang and providing him strength, courage and protection through his journey and even now as he moves on

The flowers with the cracks show that life and Airbenders will return. The magenta flowers symbolise affection and gratitude, often given to those who are grieving.

Thank you for loving this drawing more than I believed possible!
