My son leaves for college next week, and my heart is so full. ❤️ I am beyond proud to call myself your mom.

Watching you stand on that stage and deliver your valedictorian speech brought me to tears. I still can’t believe how hard you’ve worked to get where you are. You put God first in everything you do, and it shows. Your dedication, humility, and determination inspire everyone around you.

Not only were you the president of your class, but you also graduated as valedictorian and walked away with the most awards. That’s an incredible accomplishment, and every single one was well deserved.

You are an amazing role model for your big brother and for everyone who has the privilege of knowing you. As you start this new chapter in college, always remember that no matter how far you go, you’ll always be my baby.

I really had to go in the bathroom and cry today because I didn’t want my little sister to see me crying. I already knew if she saw me, we’d both be crying. I gotta be strong, and we both some thugs lol.

Seeing my little sister today made me feel so proud, but at the same time, so sad. No matter what we’ve been through, there’s nothing in this world she couldn’t get from me. I love her more than words can explain.

Losing my dad and not being able to celebrate these moments with him hurts so bad. My daddy loved bragging about his kids, and I know he would’ve been the happiest man on earth watching us today. He would’ve been smiling from ear to ear, telling everybody how proud he was.

Dameon and Jada, I love y’all so much. We all lost a piece of ourselves when we lost Daddy. Jada always knew the right words to say when I was hurting, and Dameon, thank you for always being the strong big brother. Thank you for carrying so much and never letting us see you break, even when you were hurting too. I’ll forever love and respect you for that.

Daddy, I promise you that me, Jada, and Dameon are going to keep making you proud. We’re going to keep pushing, keep growing, and keep chasing our dreams. Even though you’re no longer here with us, you’re living through each one of us every single day.

RIP to the greatest father I could’ve ever asked for. I love you, I miss you, and not a day goes by that I don’t think about you. The pain of losing you never goes away, but neither does the love. I know you’re watching over us, guiding us, and cheering us on every step of the way.
