last september, after i got back from my work trip & wookerie in los angeles, i came home & had to get back to my cats & back to reality.

it was a late monsoon szn in the desert, which is always sick. i had to lock-in for work w lots of warehouse nonsense, followed by hauling items for the mob 🙃

on this particular rainy day, i was meeting up at the local david’s bridal for a bridesmaid dress fitting for my good pal, kel!! turns out she wanted a wook in her wedding!

kelly, timree, & i all go back about 10 years to our days together working at Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale. i was their manager & apparently not a very good one bc all we did was fuck around… & i eventually found out lol

the job may have ended but our years there together created lasting friendships. i was honored & delighted when kelly called me to tell me she was getting married & asked me to be a bridesmaid!

i love weddings & had never been in one outside of my family. i was a little nervous, not nervous but weirded out a bit bc it would be my first wedding i had been to since i quit drinking.

tho, kelly is one of my few sober friends. we were both hot fucking messes when we worked at harley, & i can honestly say that i was no positive role model or influence when it came to drinking responsibly. she got sober about a year before me. i was always so proud of her. then before i knew it, i said goodbye to the booze too. thank god.

it had been years since we had all hung out but coming together for the dress fittings was like no time had passed at all. true friends. what a fun day that was 😌

TC & V in LBC w JGB!!! - sept 2025

after my work trip for the c@nn@b!s network show & jen & charlie’s wedding party, i made my way back to long beach w cruz for a final hang before heading back to az.

we hit up the thrift store pile sale!! never had seen that before! lol then had some lunch at this really bizarre place w a fog machine inside lol

closed it out w some beach hangs in long beach, gross beach, imo lol. then made our way to the long beach airport, saw lightning mcqueen in the lot, & then i made my way inside… which was actually outside & was sick as hell. all on my company’s dime.

september 2025 - jen & charlie’s wedding party

it was a beautiful night! i stuck mostly to my crew that night. ofc we were a small handful of dead fam there, mixed in with jen & charlie’s family, friends, & colleagues! it was a sweet little reunion for our family.

amanda & i had been working like crazy on making the jen & charlie wedding gifts. while i was busy locking-in on the stained glass, amanda was busy making them custom matching vests. her creative eye is so impressive to me & her sewing skills blow me away! i was so stoked when i saw the final products, ofc made down to the wire.

after we had some dancing to the beautiful music of the grateful dead played by @katie_skene & friends, we were able to give them their gifts. which was honestly perfect bc amanda & jen were doing wardrobe changes all night! which we LOVE!! 😍

it was a good night shared with lots of good people!

as the night wound down, the band was done playing, my little posse & i took a stroll down to the beach. i’ll never forget that night or my conversation w a close friend about what all of this is & what it all means.

we did know there was something up, we could tell bobby wasn’t well… looking back on that time, a year ago… & reflecting on all that went down since then, i can give myself grace. i feel for the person i was then , i still am her. still seeking ways to be love, to experience it in the deep unspoken connection through music, movement, expression, & humanity. still longing to be around those who understand that & who want to share that love w me & w the world.

but man… sometimes you gotta walk a tough road to get there. the journey is part of the understanding. it for sure is night’s like this one that act as pivotal realignments. sometimes the lesson is understood in the moment but most times we have to walk the path first.

i’m so so so grateful for the friends i have made along the way. the conversations, the tears, the truths, the fears, the growth, the love. all of it. the whole contents of the entire spectrum of the container…

sept 2025 - jen & charlie’s wedding party

i had met jen & charlie at the sphere last year. the times we shared together were on the dance floor, so not much talking but lots of good vibes!

after sphere, my posse kept talking about their wedding party in L.A. i felt like i knew them but didn’t know them like that to crash the party. so @619tomcruz said i could be his + 1 so we all made plans to go

at that time, jen was conducting interviews for a book she was writing & had reached out to several people. i didn’t really think of myself as someone worth being interviewed but to my surprise, she reached out to me to see if i was interested in sharing my perspectives & opinions on being a deadhead. i was super stoked & said yes.

i was a little nervous bc i felt like what could i say that contributes anything unique in the space. jen’s energy was glowing over this project, it was super exciting to be involved. before we started, she asked if it was cool if charlie was there in the room, i said yes, bc i’m an open book.

the interview started with the basics, how did you get on the bus? i told them how i was born on the bus, a born in head. she asked about tour/shows, stuff like that. then she asked about my fashion at shows & that opened up a whole new level of relation & understanding.

there’s not enough room in the caption to tell this whole story but i shared my experiences as a young, girl in my 20’s growing up in this scene over the last decade & how everythjng i do, down to what i wear & how i dance is functional & strategic. all in attempt to protect myself from predators on the dance floor.

i shared a lot that they were not expecting but found deep understanding & resonance with. they were almost shocked to hear how much darkness was behind the lightness they see from me in the space. needless to say, we all became much closer that day.

they were thrilled i was coming to the party! that led to sketti & i meeting up with them in LB for my bday. we stay with them, got to chat for hours & learned more about each other. i asked if we could bring sparkles & wren to the party, they said yes!

september 2025💖

just as it so happened, my job was flying me out for a network show in long beach the week of jen & charlie’s wedding party weekend…!

so you know… it all worked out in a cool way. the long beach airport was super sick too.

i’ve been in the 🍃⛽️😤 industry in az for a long time, since 2017. this was the first time i was able to travel out of az for work. i was super grateful for the opportunity & really enjoyed my experience.

it was interesting to be exposed to a different market… the california market… the socal market at that 👀 it was nothing like the az industry, that’s for sure. super flashy lol. seems like lots of money in the brands idk. apparently that was only like a quarter of the california market too. i was shocked, like you could fit the whole az market in that warehouse lol

shoutout to @710labs & @kushqueenco for their heady merch! i wanted that shakedown street tee, billy hat, & letterman’s jkt so bad!

also shoutout to @kohturegreencloudartokohgeria for making the first johnny-palooza flyer orrrr dead in the desert if you’re a real one! 💀🌵featuring our big headliner… @youngdeadband 🌹⚡️💙

anyway... it was a good time & on the walk back to the car i found some sphere fam parked next to us…!🫠

yaayyy!! i can finally post my latest stained glass design! the one i was trying to simplify bc i was a wedding gift & i was on a time crunch!

i designed this on my ipad & finished making in 7 days total… only after spending 4 days on creating two other, way complicated designs. lol🙃

anyway, i’m super happy w how this one turned out. i think i’ll make another & throw it on my etsy sometime soon.

&& then eventually, make one of the complicated designs i drew, bc why not? i love making grateful dead inspired art for my heady deadhead friends & fam. the 13 point bolt is a classic & i’m so pleased w how it turned out 🥰💀🌹

& ofc, shout out to @billystrings & the boys for helping me lock in & get these done. just watched full shows b2b until it was done. easy 😎

working days in the warehouse to then head across town for family dinners & late nights in the wookshop turning into morning drives back home thru the desert.

youtubing old @billystrings shows before i bought nugs so i could get into a flow while grinding & foiling a bunch of little glass pieces. plus, i made a few new designs for @jenirwinauthor & @charliehargraves wedding gift that i was trying to complete in a week before my long beach work trip rolling into their wedding party…!

post-show wookerie…

we hung out of lot for a bit after the show but found out there was a dead show for the afters. it was sold out & they weren’t letting anyone in… i somehow managed to slip in for the last few songs.

then chi, cruz, molly 42, & i rolled over to the hotel to get some sleep. had a family breakfast in the morning, enjoyed the greenery of oregon, & said goodbye to the road dogs - cruz & chi

the rest of the crew & i headed to the pnw version of the tuscany for some pool hangs, tattoos, more wookerie, & to get a little rest before flying back home!
