I am writing this while I pump gas in Sandusky, OH on my way home from one of the best weekends of my life. This month had the potential to really stink. I left a job and took the month off before starting a new one. I spent the month takin’ chances, volunteerin’, celebratin’, slurpin’ noodles, catchin’ up with old and new friends, spendin’ time with family, and recalibratin’. I am feeling rested, loved, and appreciated. Something I think everyone needs reminding of sometimes. Thank you to everyone who showed me love in some way, big or small, these last few weeks. When you grow up where it’s summer all year, the novelty of it wears off. Historically, I do not thrive in hotter months. My wardrobe makes absolutely no sense. I tried really hard to lean in and have as many perfect summer days and nights as possible. I dipped my toes in the ocean and didn’t mind the sand, kissed a lot of faces, ate a lot of ice cream, got to ride some rollercoasters, and watched a lot of bad tv that inspired a lot of good conversation. I celebrated the achievements of people I love while failing at most things I tried for the first time. I really put myself out there and let it all hang out. I flirted and fumbled and hooted and hollered and I didn’t get sunburned. Not once. by @yellow_bile
