About the project 📸 Here I’m revealing the concept behind this skincare brand photoshoot and walking you through the different aspects of the project. As a photographer, there’s so many creative photoshoot ideas that I hold on to and can’t wait to express. This set was literally like living out a “Pinterest photoshoot ideas” dream come true. Just had to take a moment to reflect on how much I wanted a beauty campaign opportunity like this, and the fact that I had the chance to make it a reality. The creative direction for this shot slayed. The monochromatic pink color scheme went crazy. The model freaking nailed every shot. Let’s unpack what a brand photography session looked like for a local food based business. 🍽️ From menu photos to ingredient spotlights, a lot of different elements were baked into this project to make it successful. How can you tell if the brand photography was a success? Seeing the brand use the photos in a way that gives them leverage to keep building their business. Seeing the photos on the menu, seeing how easy it is to order, seeing the variety in social media posts— This is, dare I say… delicious 😋 As a brand photographer this is the most rewarding part of the work. Seeing that the assets created actually helped a brand launch, is pretty satisfying. But, a lot of strategy has to come into play to make this possible. The brand has to be given the right tools for success, the photos have to be easy to use. I plan my shot list around campaign ideas, post prompts, and website use. I think this helps create a roadmap and ultimately make the photos enjoyable for the brand to plug and play and continue to grow with. Do you have a brand photography project in mind?
