He is also co-founder of Ganoob, a Cairo-based music collective spotlighting bygone sounds from the Global South. In true open format fashion, his selections span everything from folk, tarab and rai, to disco, dub, broken beat, and garage with a disregard for the constraints of category and genre. Having started out spinning strictly vinyl on London-based radio station Voices Radio, he’s since absorbed the sounds of the city’s bustling music scene into his own repertoire. His sets explore a range of textures and rhythms, always centering feel and groove above all else. After some time away from you, we’re happy to announce we’re back!
