Oliver’s Jazz Bar - London’s best kept secret.
Found this jewel in the heart of Greenwich, London. It ticked all the boxes of a traditional basement jazz venue. I was welcomed with warm hospitality by Tania and Mia and the cosy ambient.

As most of you know me as a crazy jazz jammer, who goes far and wide for jazz jams, this awesome venue is packed with live jazz music and jam sessions almost every night.
Coming up this week⬇️

Monday - singing jam session.
Tuesday - The Tom Shooter Trio & jam session
Wednesday - The Louise North Trio & jam session.
Thursday - The Francesca Lo Castro Organ Trio.
Friday - singing jam session.
Sunday - The Tom Ridout Quartet & jam session.

What a treat! Playing last night was The Tom Ridout Quartet with beautiful singer, Marta Gornitzka.

My gosh! My fourth session at Ronnie Scott’s vocal jam and I’m still nervous😭. I sang God Bless The Child and asked for my key in F but was so nervous I sang in Bb. But the Trio is so awesome, transposed straight away and played through in Bb to accommodate me. Sometimes I amaze myself, didn’t sing as usual how I expected, but from F key to Bb is quite a big jump. Good job Felicia! Keep it up.💪

I was singing Johnny Green’s “Out of Nowhere” with so much joy and watching the youngster’s cool dancing, enjoying the vibe to a swinging jazz tune, truly puts a big smile on my face. Thank you Wayne Matthews Jazz Jam Wednesday, for playing awesome music for young people to experience, hang out, enjoy, dance and jam.

Once again, what an opportunity to sing at Ronnie Scott’s with the incredible Jamie Safir Trio @jamiesafir
Yesterday, I’m so blessed to have met the fabulous host, Natalie Williams @nataliewilliamsmusic who has a heart of gold. Not only is Natalie an incredible vocalist and performer, she hosted the night with her professionalism and encouragement, giving up her tunes and gave opportunities to all of the singers who has signed up for the jam a chance to shine on stage and cheering us on from the side. Thank you so much Natalie, I’m so glad to have met you.
This Ronnie Scott’s Vocal Jam @ronniescottsvocaljam is becoming very addictive and I crave to go back each week for more🤗. Although it’s two hours journey from East Midlands to London, but with an awesome host like Natalie Williams and the incredible Jamie Safir Trio, it was a treasured night to remember.
I’ll be back!

I sang “Caravan” at the famous Peggy’s Skylight in Nottingham with four young, talented jammers. But don’t let their baby faces fool you! They played my tunes like old souls, with much zest, enthusiasm and energy, I had to up my game 😅😆🤣. And the awesome bass line by Mr Martyn Spencer, keeping the rhythm alive.

I am grateful to the host, Andrew Wood with Matthew Ratcliffe and Martyn Spencer for organising this jazz jam, opening a platform for young talents and amateurs like me to experience, improve and shine on stage at this beautiful venue.

I sang at the famous Peggy’s Skylight in Nottingham with four young, talented jammers. I shouldn’t have chosen “Black Coffee”with lyrics concerning cigarettes, nicotine and caffeine, lol😬😜. But don’t let their baby faces fool you! They played my tunes like old souls, with much zest, enthusiasm and energy, I had to up my game 😅😆🤣.
And the awesome bass line by Mr Martyn Spencer, keeping the rhythm alive.

Great time with Zebra Jazz Collective in Tring last night. Jazz jam is on every 2nd Thursday of the month.

Jazz jamming with fabulous saxophonist, Paul Clark is always a treat. The place was jam packed when we arrived but was greeted with welcoming smiles all around.
I enjoyed myself last night. It was like being part of a big family, from young to seniors, filled with warmth and love for Jazz. And the young talents really lit up the room, shining so brightly when they performed 🥰 their tunes.
Thank you Vicki for being such a wonderful host.
Like Arnold says: “I’ll be back!” 🥰
