Came here to clear my head and think about some important decisions coming up. Spent 3 1/2 hours hiking the trails with Cemi reaching areas we never went before. We went pretty far and saw some beautiful stuff. Starved Rock Birthday Trip 2024 🎂🎉✨My actual birthday is 11/16 (tomorrow). I planned a few things for myself this month and I’m soo ready to turn up big time!I’m excited to see what this next chapter of my life will be. I’ll do the cheesy birthday speech tomorrow but yeah. This trip was everything, I really love my dog, we had a timee. She’s my everything & the reason I’m never truly alone. When I have my anxieties and/or jump out of bed in tears scared as hell, she’s there. She there to witness all the moments whether good or bad and is present when I have to do adulting in public lol. & honestly if I was out there by myself I would’ve been scared boots. It was dark as hell at night & the sun went down early while we were still on the trail. 9 YEARS Today 🏳️‍⚧️✨ 11/4/15 I started my medical transition, I find myself speaking less and less about my trans identity lately and I’m cool with it. I remember the first early months, even first couple of days just obsessing over the changes. Wanting facial hair, the voice to deepen, hitting the gym and all that mess 😂 ;looking where I’m at now, in every aspect of things I’m really proud. I did this myself, I chose to live. I’m spending every moment being the best man I can be for myself so I can be the best for the people I love. I’m emotional, sensitive, kind, soft, nurturing. I love providing for my loved ones and making sure they’re okay. I love being a leader and being so trusted to lead by those around me. I change for the better as the years go by and welcome it. I’m not the same person I was 9 years ago. I’m really proud to be here. Birthday Post! 🥳✨Grateful beyond words for the most incredible birthday I’ve had in ages! Moving to Chicago has introduced me to so many amazing souls and formed such deep and meaningful friendships. I can honestly say that I’ve never been this happy before. Birthdays usually bring me down, but this year was different. To have my friends show up and celebrate me the way y’all did meant the world to me. It completely turned my mood around for the better. Best Birthday Trip 🇵🇷🧡This trip was highly emotional. I made this trip to be intentional about grieving my dad and also to get to experience the Island as an adult. I was intentional about finding the queer culture that I never got to see or know if it even existed as a kid and I found it. Met some fantastic people, ate some amazing food and the smell of the island is one of a kind and a experience in itself. I went to La Placita, a place my parents frequented when they were young and it was funny to imagine them in my same shoes having a good time just as I was at their age. Now I know why they wouldn’t answer the phone when they left me at grandma’s cause it was A TIME 😂I revisited my old home and was pleased to see everything was still beautiful and a lot of renovations happened to the neighborhood. I ate at me and my fathers favorite restaurant that we would always go to on the way home from school or when he was home from working overseas. The owner remembered him and I shared the news of his passing, we had a moment and it meant a lot to me. To be honest going there brought so many emotions I felt like an idiot when I was waiting in line by myself and holding back my tears cause I was about to ugly cry infront of all these people 😂, everything looked the same.. The food is still 10/10 exactly how I remember, like my brain/taste buds exploded with euphoria when I ate that food! I definitely want to go back more often and revisit more places from my childhood. Doing that this past weekend helped release some stuff I was holding onto and I’ve grown to feel more empathy for my father the more I get to know him and humanize him in his absence. So last night I got to see MY BEYONCÉ @joseline on her #DunChaChaTour with the girls of the cabaret and I had a time !! The girls did a fantasticccc job and held it down the entire time. I was so happy to meet them and they’re all so genuine and were just as excited as we were. My only critique is Joseline didn’t come out till the end of the show, did a few of her songs then left and I only say that given most people were waiting since 6pm for a 20 minute or less performance. Non the less those 20 minutes were great after waiting 4hrs! 😂 Also the fact the venue was charging $40-$100 parking, taking 25% for any cash for 1’s exchange and another $50 just to walk into the VIP area which I feel was something that could’ve been included with the $250 meet and greet price. (Especially if we weren’t meeting Joseline at the end of the night which wasn’t clarified when buying the meet and greet that it would only be the cabaret girls) The venue itself looked great but you could tell every single person on staff from inside to outside was trying to make their own money somehow from this event.
