One year of the Institute of Sport; and what a difference a year makes!🤩 Today, we’re celebrating one year since we first opened the doors to our incredible Institute of Sport at Yeovil College.⚽ A major milestone in our £60+ million campus transformation, the Institute of Sport created an outstanding new home for sport, giving our learners access to modern, specialist spaces designed for training, learning and developing their skills. From practical training and performance to the classroom learning that underpins successful careers in sport, the facilities give our students an environment where they can train harder, learn more and aim higher.👏 One year on, we’re incredibly proud to see the Institute doing exactly what it was designed to do - creating opportunities, raising ambitions and inspiring our next generation. Here’s to celebrating year two!💙 #ChangingLives #YIS #InstituteOfSport #OneYear #Celebrating #CampusTransformation #DevelopSkills #Successful #Generation #Ambitions #ProudToBeYC #YC by @yeovilcollege
We're thrilled to celebrate the winners of Yeovil College's T Level Week scavenger hunt: Angel and Tilly, both currently studying Level 3 T Level Business Management & Administration. 🌟 During National T Level Week 2026, all students had the opportunity to discover and collect 'mini T's' across the Yeovil College campus, with the chance of winning a prize. Angel and Tilly have won a £25 Amazon voucher and sweets! When sharing their prize, we asked Angel and Tilly their thoughts on studying at Yeovil College. 👏 Angel: "The T Level Business course is really good, I find it really enjoyable. I'm unsure which area of business I'd like to go into in the future, but I'm considering an apprenticeship." 💙 Tilly - "I really like my course lecturers, especially Hollie! I choose to attend Yeovil College after trying other colleges as it was local and in a good location. In the future, I would love to become an Agricultural Surveyor, and I'm hoping to find an apprenticeship after college for this." 💙 Thank you for speaking to us, Angel and Tilly, and congratulations once again on finding the most 'mini T's' and being our overall winner! 🌟 #ChangingLives #YeovilCollege #TLevel #NationalTLevelWeek #ScavengerHunt #Business #TLevelBusiness #FurtherEducation #HigherEducation #Opportunity by @yeovilcollege
Recently, our Uniformed Protective Services (UPS) students heard an exciting talk from Securitas, a leading provider in safety and security solutions. The talk consisted of an introduction of the business, the services they offer, and how studying UPS here at Yeovil College can provide opportunities to obtain a role within Securitas. Thank you so much for visiting our students and providing valuable insight for our students💙 #ChangingLives #Securitas #UniformedProtectiveServices #YeovilCollege by @yeovilcollege
Recently, our Hair, Beauty and Media Makeup students took part in a workshop ran by Emma from Matakki.💙 This training day helped students understand the importance of health and safety within the industry, how to properly care for clients, and the risks which could happen if these polices and good practice is not followed in a salon environment. After the workshop ended, students were delivered their first pair of professional scissors and have the knowledge on how to maintain and care for a great brand.💇 Thank you, Emma, for inspiring our students!🌟 #ChangingLives #YeovilCollege #HairAndBeauty #MediaMakeup #Importance #HealthAndSafety #Professional #Education #SalonEnviroment #Students #Education #YC by @yeovilcollege
Presenting Lewis, a Sports Coaching & Development student who is part of our YC Men’s 1 football team, formerly of Buckler’s Mead Academy.👏 Lewis sat down with us to speak on his experience and how he’s found it studying at Yeovil College, here’s what he had to say: “Yeovil College was local which made picking a college easy for me, but what made me apply was the education they provide in sport. Since I was young, I have always loved football so being able to take that love and apply it in the football team here is great." "My favourite thing about the college, would be the enrichment opportunities offered to us. There is something here for everyone regardless of if it’s sport or a debate club. In the future I hope to peruse my passion for sport further as a sport coach.”⚽ Lewis, we wish you all the best for your future. Thank you for speaking with us.💙 #ChangingLives #YeovilCollege #StudentExperince #SportsCoachingAndDevelopment #Student #Education #SportsCoach #FootballTeam #YC by @yeovilcollege
