I don’t even know where to begin. I know I’m not where I could be, but I’m not where I was. I’m so grateful for everyone who has stuck with me throughout this journey and encouraged me when I didn’t believe in myself. There were moments when I almost put this instrument down because I felt like I couldn’t do it, I felt like I had no direction, but even in the simplicity of my desire, God met me halfway. Wednesday, I got to play at a worship night in the place I call home, a place I’ve been for over a decade. I’ve spent so many years looking up and asking God, when is it my turn. He tested me, tried me, and when I rushed, He made me wait. Now I’m realizing that the waiting was part of the journey. This is only the beginning. This isn’t just a journey of learning an instrument, it’s a reminder of where I was, where God has brought me, and where I’m going. Father, I will worship You for the rest of my days.
