Happy birthday to my wife, Cyera Vaka.
Grateful for a woman who is supportive, patient, and believes — not just in me, but in our family. Even when the road isn’t easy.

Having someone who sees what you can become and stands beside you while you build it means more than words can say.

You are an incredible mother to our kids and the steady heart of our home.
Thankful for the love, strength, and care you bring into our lives every day by @yes_iride

Went out ice fishing with my friend Cyler on Monday and we ended up coming back yesterday late afternoon. Way too windy and didn’t have the proper cover even with our tent. Heading back Thursday with a new soot we found with proper coverage from the windy!

Has been a fun trip! Cyler dropped his phone down the whole the moment he went to stand up from his chair😂 he caught a beautiful 50cm walleye! I felt frustrated because this is my 4th year ice fishing and I have NOT caught ONE single fish yet!!! My time will come!

Due to how windy it was, we both barely got any sleep and when I got dropped off home, I did a few things and then slept for 12hrs…. Not what I expected nor wanted lol but my mind and body felt GREAT! taken in Keho Lake by @yes_iride

2025 has been quite the year already.

It’s been a season of challenge, growth, and perspective for our family. Navigating an injury has slowed life down in ways I never expected, forcing us to take things one day at a time. While that hasn’t been easy, it’s also brought clarity about what truly matters.

In the middle of it all, we welcomed our son in January 2025 — a moment of pure joy and gratitude that put everything else into perspective.

I’ve worked in the oil and gas industry since 2021, and for years my time was heavily consumed by work. Being mostly off this year has been difficult in some ways, but it has also been an unexpected blessing. I’ve had the chance to be present, to watch my kids grow, and to truly see just how much my wife does every single day.

Cyera Vaka is the strongest, most capable person I know. The way she has carried our family through a demanding season — holding everything together with strength, patience, and love — has given me a level of respect and gratitude that’s hard to put into words.

This year has taught me that progress doesn’t always look fast, loud, or obvious. Sometimes it looks like patience, presence, and learning to appreciate the moments we often rush past.

Grateful for my family, for perspective, and for the road ahead — even if it looks different than I once imagined. by @yes_iride

This past weekend, I flew down to see my wife and baby girl and we had such a great time! We had gone to Sky Castle and she found this ride and she had discovered the use of daddy’s credit card lol. I love this so much and had to share this! by @yes_iride
