Last min post: if you’re in town come see me play at Night Mass @dark_mofo tonight 10.30 / tomorrow 11.30 at the Grand Poobah On Sunday my favourite ever festival @soft_centre is happening back in Eora. @ambermccartneyy is performing BABY GIRL which im excited to see for the first time, I made the music, buy a tick if you haven’t already and we can watch it together. Pic is from @fiberfestival last year, at my saddest and thinnest lol, I somehow managed to bring the performance. I felt like I was going to break that whole trip 💀 was really artistically confused at the time too - but finally feeling things come into focus after putting in the hours on the art and on myself. Feel like the shows this weekend will be really special 👽 ok going down for a nap now, c u by @yesmakeda
I scored @ambermccartneyy new work ‘Tiny Infinite Deaths’ opening tonight till Saturday at @thesubstation for @lucyguerininc new program ‘Pieces’! 🔑 The first in an ongoing collab between two certified weirdos 📯 thanks Amber for truly letting me fly the freak flag. Feel so lucky to have been a part of this brilliant work musing on death, the afterlife, passing through, experienced through the spirit vessel of a maggot Fingers crossed for negative PCR so I can come see TIDs 🪄 by @yesmakeda
‘Me, First’ is featured in @alenalodkina ‘Petrol’, Australian premiere tonight at @melbfilmfest. Thanks Alena, Kate and Jemma for having me involved, very sad not to be in Naarm for this, chookas! 🍀 by @yesmakeda
@soft_centre tonight!! Pre show jitters have hit. Can’t believe I get to play, let alone play this amazing festival. The bill is so sick and the production is wild (had a lil peak, off chops) Beyond that, I make my international festival debut at @fiberfestival in two weeks. Promo post over and out, hope to see you tonight! by @yesmakeda
Big ol DJ weekend! Tonight: excited to be playing for the first time in a minute at the @foreignfrequencies party tonight... come if you're in Meanjin Saturday: my @triple_j DJ mix on Mix Up airs at 10pm AEDT, 9PM AEST. Listen via BC if you haven't already! Also an interview with @verve.zine about the record for a deeper insight for those who're curious about the #themes Links in the spot for all of the above! by @yesmakeda

Some more PERFORMING FEMININITY starring yours truly™️ . . UPCOMING SHOWS ~ 06/10 - Echo Flats (hybrid), NSW 12/10 - Outhouse (dj), MEL 12/10 - ZFEX Jazz Doof (dj), MEL 19/10 - Lucid 3rd Bday (hybrid), MEL . . 📸 @a.nu.raag by @yesmakeda
PERFORMING FEMININITY (test), my new wip arrives ! t o n i g h t ! at @artshouse. Alongside @nkisiii @33emybw / @hanhan_gooooose @djplead ~ i’m on at 8. . This is my most personal / ambitious work to date. I first performed it in 2016, it was written about a not-so-fabulous experience I had studying music postgrad. Can’t say how happy (and nervous) i’ve been having had the chance to develop this work a little more... . IT’S... backstage ~ a chorus ~ always late ~ cackling on occasion ~ irritable ~ gifted ~ a hand that holds ~ costumed ~ growling ~ charming and persuasive ~ downtempo ~ happier by the moment ~ crying ~ comfortable in solitude ~ demanding a raise ~ writhing ~ deemed culturally ambiguous ~ anxious ~ a verse ~ prioritised learning ~ increasingly on-time ~ a celebration ~ acapella ~ demanding an explanation ~ messy ~ a collapsing superstructure ~ a funeral ~ upbeat ~ too difficult ~ a vase of flowers ~ premeditated ~ a bridge ~ shifting forms ~ drenched in sweat ~ A PERFORMANCE . . Collaborators Performer ~ @3_c_e3 Video ~ @carlazimbler Costumes ~ @maroskepeech . . Special thanks to @coolroomtv for offering me the privilege of this platform and for supporting my work, and also to co-presenter @liquid_architecture for putting together this fab bill 💔 by @yesmakeda
Preorders for my EP ‘LIFETRAP’ are up! Link in my bio, can’t believe it’s finally real!
