We had the opportunity to present ALHERD at Milan Design Week as part of SuperPlayground.

For us, the exhibition wasn’t only about showing a collection of lamps. It was a chance to contribute to the conversation around digital fabrication and contemporary design.

ALHERD at Milan Design Week 2026

Our luminous objects were presented at @superstudio.design Superstudio Village as part of the Playground exhibition during Milan Design Week 2026.

For us, ALHERD is not only a collection of lamps, but an exploration of light as a physical presence — shaped through digital fabrication, translucent material, and layered geometry.

After months of prototyping, printing, testing, failing, reprinting, and carrying fragile objects across borders, seeing them installed in Milan felt like an important moment for YET FAB.

Speaker Turbine.

A speaker is not only a technical device.
It is part of the atmosphere of a space, part of the visual field, part of the interior.

The object is built from a polished stainless steel pipe structure and a double-layer morphology.
An inner matte shell carries the color, while the transparent outer skin acts almost like a filter around it — catching reflections, depth, and light.

Depending on the angle and surrounding conditions, the object continuously changes its appearance through transparency, filtering, and reflection.

Milan Design Week is a spectacle.

But inside that spectacle, it’s not always clear where real experimentation happens.

With YET FAB, we tried to position our work within that gap.
Not as another object, but as a study — how light can be held, filtered, and shaped through material.

Milan Design Week is often described as a spectacle.
And it is — intense, overwhelming, full of energy.

This year, it was also a process.

Working with the @superstudio.design team was both challenging and genuinely rewarding.
Fast decisions, constant adjustments, long days — but also a rare level of focus and collaboration.
We learned a lot.

There’s an ongoing conversation around innovation at Milan Design Week — whether it’s still the place for it, or something else.
For us, it was an opportunity to contribute to that question.

To test ideas, materials, and atmospheres in a real, public context.

Grateful to be part of it.

Sometimes the brief arrives from the side door - design of a sound.

We were asked to design a pair of speakers. The challenge: design a speaker with no prior experience which will belong to the store’s design language.

We developed compact, 3D-printed enclosures mounted on a slim stainless stem.

A commission from an unexpected place, and a rewarding one—designing not only what you see, but what you hear.
