Yetunde Akande is the CEO and founder of Yetroselane Fashion Hub, a company dedicated to making a positive impact in the fashion industry through sustainability and empowerment. The hub's contemporary womenswear line promotes inclusivity and empowerment. Their Fashion Academy provides women with the skills to establish successful fashion businesses, while their garment factory implements a zero waste policy.Her organisation has partnered with both local and International organisations like Ministry of foreign affairs Netherlands in collaboration with CFYE Challenge Fund for Youth Employment, UNDP (United Nations Development Program), LBS-BOI (Lagos Business School & Bank of Industry), LSETF (Lagos State Employment Trust Fund), FRED(Foundation for Resilience, Empowerment and Development) - VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls), and GCC(Gidi Creative Centre) supported by LACI (Lagos State Creative Industry Initiative), offering training and empowerment to youths. Yetunde’s work has also earned her numerous awards, including "Under 30 Best Fashion Designer" in 2012, "Designer of the Year" in 2016, and "Fashion Entrepreneur of the Year" in 2021, “Innovative Fashion Entrepreneur” Eloy Awards in 2023, Recognition award by Pan Atlantic University (Enterprise Development Centre) in 2023, and an award of empowerment by Lagos Business School-Bank Of Industry in 2023.Her designs have been showcased on both local and international runways, captivating audiences with their exquisite craftsmanship and unique aesthetics. Notable showcases include events like Emerge New York Fashion Week, the Wearable Arts Fashion Showcase in Ghana, and the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in GhanaDriven by her vision to empower, Yetunde mentors aspiring entrepreneurs through programs like Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), the Grand Africa Initiative (GAIN). She is also mentored by Tony Elumelu amongst others and is an alumna of the London College of Fashion.Her ultimate goal is to empower individuals to secure employment or start successful fashion ventures, thereby creating job prospects in the industry. by @yetroselane

I am honored and humbled to receive an appreciation award in recognition of my unwavering support and collaboration with the prestigious Lagos Business School and Bank of Industry (LBS-BOI) Business Innovation Accelerator. As a technical partner, I have had the privilege to contribute to the development of aspiring entrepreneurs, paving the way for national transformation.Over the past three years, I have embarked on an incredible journey of prioritizing impact in my fashion business. This led me to establish the Yetroselane Fashion Academy, a transformative initiative dedicated to empowering aspiring fashion entrepreneurs. Our mission is clear: to foster an ecosystem of fashion entrepreneurs with the skills and resources they need to become employable or kickstart their own fashion businesses to drive positive change in the fashion industry and Nation as a whole.This appreciation award further fuels my passion for youth empowerment and highlights the impact we are making as a leading Fashion hub. Thanks once again to the LBS-BOI team for the recognition. Together, we are building a vibrant community of change-makers who are ready to leave their mark on the entrepreneurship landscape and contribute to Nigeria's growth and prosperity._______________I humbly dedicate this award to the divine guidance of God and the incredible Yetroselane alumni who have been empowered through our initiative!
