VOICES OF ROOTS

This service system, co-created with the Nisu Yi Ethnic Culture Centre in Mengzi, Yunnan, China, aims to revitalise the endangered Nisu Yi language.

Through a year-long journey of workshops, digital archives, toolkits, and community festivals, the service connects people with their linguistic roots. It encourages the community to celebrate, document, and sustain their mother tongue, strengthening confidence and pride in their language.

See this project and more at the UAL MA Service Design Degree Show! 💬

Missing our happiest time last year!! I had beautiful memories with @xut1ngt_ in Pu’er and Laos. I tasted the coffee from my hometown in this morning , and it reminded me of everything in Damenzhai. We were spending extremely laughable hours together. I am missing you so much!❤️ taken in London, United Kingdom by @ygtao_
