Well, I exercised my right to vote today. It’s the last day of early voting in Hillsborough County Primary Elections.

You may think voting doesn’t count, but it does! So if you don’t like what’s going on in our politics then get up off of your butt, learn about the candidates that are running and go cast your vote!

This is an important year, perhaps the most important ever. We need change and we need you to understand what’s at stake.

So please do your research, choose the best candidate, and don’t waste this important right that we should all be grateful to have.

Long overdue post. @arianahalvaei came to visit us (me and her sister @roshanhalvaei) in Tampa in June (last month).

We spent 3 days in Manasota Key and had a great beach vacation!

Our Airbnb was just a few steps to the beach and we had so much fun! It’s a great spot to enjoy the beach with no hi rise buildings or crowds. We highly recommend it!

The girls and I spent many summer vacations in Tybee Island, GA, so it was fun to enjoy the quiet beach vibes and do some of our favorite things together: simple meals, lots of time in the sun, listening to the sound of the waves, watching dolphins frolic close to the shoreline, beach walks, watching the sun go down, ice cream to cool off a hot summer day, being silly together, bathing suits and flip flops 💙👙☀️🏖️🌴🩴

Missing my girls and looking forward to our next trip.

Wow, where did March go?!? What a whirlwind month for me. On March 2, I traveled from Tampa to Boston for the WCRI conference, one of my favorites! then from Boston to Oakland, California for the northern DWC conference.

Then I dropped down to Camarillo to visit my good friend Kristen @kchavez808 and a few other industry friends.

Then I flew to San Antonio, Texas, for a week and on to my hometown of Bandera, where I grew up and spent some time with my dear friend Stacey @herkimerandwilma and I was so happy to celebrate her birthday and see her family and a few other friends that I’ve known since middle school/high school @shaunama1

Next I flew to Los Angeles for the Los Angeles DWC conference for a couple days, saw a few of my colleagues and friends there, and then I took the train (I love taking the train!) to San Diego where I met up with my favorite work colleague Duane “the Rock” Johnson @rockjohnson78 and got to spend some time with his family — they invited me to go to a @thesavbananas Savannah Bananas game at Petco Park! It was so much fun!!

March was a great and productive month — busy, busy, busy and jam packed, but boy did I get a lot done and saw a lot of things and saw a lot of of my favorite people! 💙💛💙💛

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐦 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐮𝐩.

Today is 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏’𝒔 𝑫𝒂𝒚. It is more than a celebration. It’s a reminder of the important work still ahead. Let’s spend more of our time lifting each other up.

Every year on 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟖, millions of people around the world pause to recognize 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲, a day dedicated to advancing women and girls everywhere. It’s a moment to reflect on progress, acknowledge the contributions of women across every field, and recommit to building a more equitable future.

What I appreciate most about this day is that it isn’t owned by any single organization or group. It’s a global movement built through collective action. From grassroots efforts to global initiatives, every act that supports women and girls helps move the needle forward.

We know that progress rarely happens by accident. It happens when we are intentional, when we choose to mentor someone, open a door, advocate for fairness, just listen, or simply encourage another woman to use her voice.

When women lift each other up, the impact reaches far beyond any one person.

Today feels like a good time to pause and ask ourselves a simple question:
𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑰 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒕𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚, 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌, 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉, 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓? Because progress doesn’t only happen on March 8.

It happens through the small, consistent choices we make every day.

Sharing a collage of women I shared time with over this past week. I admire them, I respect them, and I don’t get to spend nearly as much time with them as I’d like to. They are beautiful. They are strong. They are trailblazers.

There has never been a more important time to remember this simple truth: we are connected in ways we cannot always see, but always feel.

Kindness is not naive. It is neurological. It is biological. It is powerful.

When we express love and gratitude, the brain releases oxytocin, often called the bonding hormone. Oxytocin strengthens trust, lowers blood pressure, reduces stress, and helps regulate the nervous system. Acts of kindness also activate reward centers in the brain and increase serotonin and dopamine, which elevate mood and reinforce connection.

In other words, kindness is not soft. It is science. And it works.

This year’s theme, Love Out Loud, Backed by Science, invites you to make kindness visible, audible, and unmistakably human. In a world that often feels fast, noisy, and overwhelming, kindness helps us slow down. It steadies us. It strengthens communities from the inside out.

Because community matters more than ever.

Random Acts of Kindness week reminds us of something essential: Kindness does not ask us to agree, it asks us to recognize one another’s humanity.

From February 15 to 21, we invite you to step fully into this practice. Not with grand gestures, but with presence. Not with perfection, but with intention.

We invite you to mark the week in ways that feel authentic to you:
