Studio Delson is pleased to present our springtime exhibition, Accumulated Matter by artist Yen Ha @yhaduong . The drawings in this exhibition represent an accumulation of small mark making into large, tangible matters. The resulting images, abstract in form, reveal a tenuous relationship to the natural world.

This exhibition is on view by appointment through 21 May. Head to the link in our bio for the full schedule of programming.

Music: “A Storm Event” by Anna Rubin, composed to accompany Ha’s “A Storm Event” series. The piece synthesizes field recordings and processed recordings of Ha’s poem, “A Storm Event,” spoken in English, French, and Vietnamese. taken in Studio Delson by @yhaduong

Thank you to everyone who stopped by yesterday during Open Studios. What a delight to meet new people and catch up with old friends. Am always happy to have people over for a studio visit if you’d like to come by and see my brain output in person. ❤️ by @yhaduong

As my kids hit college age I think often about that fateful first day in Morewood E Tower when I met the girl across the hallway who went on to be my bestest friend. It’s not just that we’ve known each other since we were 17, but that we’ve grown up together, through all the myriad phases of our lives. ❤️ you so much @kristina_oneal by @yhaduong

Had the best time @lakegeorgearts for the opening of my and Anna Rubin’s show, “A Storm Event” this past Saturday. It was the kind of event filled with conversations about the work, about art, writing, all the things. Got some insider tips from locals on the burgeoning foodie scene in Glen Falls and capped the afternoon off with a delightful dinner with Dan Cameron. Super loved the Lake George welcome. by @yhaduong

The biggest circle I can draw with my hand and pencil as a compass is 18.5” so that’s the biggest these drawings can be. by @yhaduong

Awhile back I bought two 36”x48” canvases to play around with paint. I don’t consider myself a painter and inevitably what ends up happening is I make a drawing, but with a paint brush. I’m not yet sure what is happening here except that maybe I’m hoping the MTA will invite me to make this into a subway station mosaic. by @yhaduong

For funsies I decided to draw a larger scale version of the gold bubble drawings, this one at 18”x24”, and I’m kind of really into it. The paint pens don’t stop exploding so I guess I’ll keep on going with the flow by @yhaduong

It’s only taken me three years to make this drawing and only because I really need the table space in my studio for another large scale project. Three years ago I was on board the Antigua in the Arctic Circle watching glaciers pass by from the deck of the ship. A magical time I am (apparently) still processing through drawings. #landscapesofmemory by @yhaduong

It’s been hard to hold onto the sheer joy of my show opening at @studiodelson the other week in the face of relentless narcissistic lawlessness but when I look at the photos from @brianmtruong of the opening reception I am reminded how much laughter and love surrounds me. It was a beautiful night with beautiful people and I will keep holding onto that energy because we gotta keep keeping on friends. Keep protesting and crying and raging. But also keep showing up, making art and holding each other close. taken in Studio Delson by @yhaduong
