Inside YHV 'Volume 1'

Visual Harmony
2 May 2025
The Art Behind the Music

YHV Records unveils a bold new chapter in its artistic evolution. Beginning next week, the label introduces a vibrant new visual identity inspired by the timeless cut-out style of Henri Matisse. Known for pioneering bold shapes and color combinations, Matisse’s influence brings a mystical, dreamlike energy to YHV’s latest cover artworks.

This transformation marks more than a design shift—it reflects a deeper belief that music and visual art walk side by side. Just as rhythm tells stories through sound, color can express the unseen layers of emotion. The abstract forms and textures of the new visuals echo the experimental spirit of YHV’s electronic catalog.

These artworks, rich with visual rhythm, mirror the fluidity of electronic soundscapes. It’s a celebration of creativity without borders—a place where fine art meets dance culture.

By embracing this new direction, YHV Records reaffirms its commitment to artistic innovation. Each release becomes more than just music—it becomes a curated visual and sonic experience, inviting the audience to explore a deeper sensory journey.
