Found a cluster of these beauties today on our native garden path. I think it's a Bird Orchid, but am happy to be corrected.

Wet-felted seascape I've been working on. We've had a few gorgeous sunsets in the last month, so I've been working from a few photos and drawings, as well as some local seaside inspiration gathered along the way. I've been so motivated by the books and art by @moymackay but have a very long journey ahead of me if I want to reach her standard! I started out with an armful of fleece from @esdon_lodge and after a lot of soap, water, and elbow grease the seascape started to take shape.

A roaming cat directly above our platypus burrow. This is the 24th feline we have recorded on our property.

A huge thank you to all responsible cat owners out there who respect our native wildlife, and who understand the dangers that free roaming kitties pose, directly (by killing wildlife) or indirectly (by hunting food sources and spreading toxoplasmosis through bandicoot populations just by being in their vicinity).
Being half-grown may indicate that there is a litter in the area, which is very bad timing as our native bird/wildlife population has begun its yearly staking out of territory in readiness for Spring.

A wet-felted woodsy bowl and another great learning curve, guided by the amazingly patient @dawn__edwards via a wonderful online tutorial from @livingfelt
I used our own alpaca fleece, banana yarn (instead of silk), water, and soap. It's a magical process and I'm so lucky to be part of such a wonderful online community🌿🙂.

We are very excited to become part of Wildlife Conservancy! While our property was being assessed by Anna from @tasland we were delighted to find that we have a rare species of native trailing speedwell (veronica plebeia), a very shy and tiny-flowered beauty. I took a photo of the minuscule flower only to discover an even more minuscule native bee resting in the petals (you'll maybe have to zoom in to see it). I've had an explore and found at least eight speedwells in our native garden block now 🌿🙂

Just finished my first felted necklace/poppy lariat. It's hard to believe that this was just a handful of fleece a few days ago. Thanks for the great online felting tutorial by the amazing Dawn Edwards @dawn__edwards hosted by @livingfelt

Tasmanian Wedge-tailed Eagle - a welcome visitor to our farm, but a cause for consternation for this plucky Forest Raven flying above it. The hens also broke Olympic records running for cover.

The latest creation! So many calm and lovely colours to work with in this wet-felted bag. This one is destined as a thank-you to a friend who has encouraged me so much on my magical wet-felting journey.
Thank you to @natashasmarttextiles for her brilliant @domestika online course, and to @sallyridgwaydesigns for providing such a beautifully dyed merino fibre, and, of course, to Weazel our lovely Yimarra Farm alpaca for his lovely white fleece for the interior 🙂. I can never quite believe that something as strong and beautiful can be made from soap, water, fleece, and patience. No sewing, cutting or glueing 🙂❤️
