Nothing says freedom like the government telling you what you can and can’t do with your own property. New Hanover and Brunswick are currently being sued for denying much needed housing. Perhaps it’s time to take Pender County to court. In a area like the Wilmington metro that is short tens of thousands of homes there is no valid reason to deny a housing project. #LegalizeHousing #Pender #HousingShortageCrisis #Build by @yimbycapefear

This would be a violation of state law! If Brunswick county moves forward with this hopefully they will be sued. They cannot do this. Commissioner Thompson is openly advocating for the breaking of state law! This would devastate housing construction in one of the nations fastest growing counties! Shameful to even suggest it! It is not the state or developers fault the county is having issues (although Thompson is greatly exaggerating those issues) it is the counties fault for not addressing its own needs. That does not give them a free pass to break the law and stop all housing development. #NIMBYism by @yimbycapefear
