Happy 9th Birthday to my Earl Grey 👑💖✨Nine years ago, I brought this handsome boy home, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not only has he filled my life with love and laughter, but he also gave me six beautiful cats to complete our little family 🥺💖We went through a major health scare together in 2023, and I’m so grateful that my boy stayed strong and pulled through. Watching him recover reminded me just how precious every moment with him is.Please continue to stay healthy, happy, and by my side for many more years to come. 🥺💖Mummy loves you so much, Earl Grey. 2 months post fusion spine surgery update 💖🏥My heart feels so full again 💖🥺It’s my first cosplay after my spine fusion surgery in March. Not gonna lie, I had a lot of self doubts and anxiety going into this… but this body and mind is stronger than I thought 😎✨Thank you so much to everyone who came to see me, prepared gifts, and spent time with me today. Someone even made me a whole cheesecake and apple tarts ??? OMG they were so delicious 🥺💖I was also so happy to see many familiar faces from Singapore again 🥺✨Even though I’m still not fully recovered yet ( I have one more month to go ) , being able to be here even for a short while already means so much to me. Please wait for my comeback soon ~ I can’t wait to see everyone face to face again at future events 💖My next event maybe in July ? 👀 by @yingtze12

2nd surgery, not 3rd lol(Preston did the captions 😂)Went outside for the first time in a month…just to buy a game so I’d have something to do during my long recovery period 😌🎮I couldn’t go out at all before this, because after my first surgery, I wasn’t able to sit or stand for more than 8 minutes.(Yes… I timed it 😂)8 minutes was the max before the crippling nerve pain kicked in.The day before my second surgery, I asked Preston,“Do you think I can go out? I want to buy this Super Mario game 😂”Fun fact:Pokopia consumed so much of my time that even now—one week after my second surgery…I still haven’t started the Mario game I bought 😂🎮 by @yingtze12

I can’t believe I’m saying this… but I miss walking 20,000 steps a day 😂Last year in Japan I walked everywhere without even thinking about it. Now during recovery, every step feels different — but it also reminds me how precious something as simple as walking really is.One day I’ll get back to those 20k steps again. I really think cats are wonderful. It almost feels like they know that I’m not feeling well, because they’ve been taking turns coming to visit me on the bed. 🥺Even Batman, who never jumps on the bed, now hangs around next to it so I can see him and give him pats. That has never happened before.Tiny, who is usually very elusive, has also started coming onto the bed just to let me pat her. 💖Maybe this long recovery journey is a blessing in disguise. It’s giving me the chance to slow down and spend more time with my cats. 🐾✨ by @yingtze12

Who takes Polaroids in the hospital? 😂🏥(Answer: Preston)This is my second time being hospitalized — this round was for a procedure called a Spine Epidural Injection. My recovery was progressing a little too slowly, so my doctor suggested doing this injection to help calm the nerves and speed things up.It’s not surgery, but the procedure is still done in an operating room, so not gonna lie… I was pretty nervous. I didn’t sleep the whole night before. 👀Local anaesthesia was used, which means I was awake the entire time. And have I mentioned that I’m terrified of needles?! 🤯The procedure took about 30 minutes, and I’m very thankful to the nurse who held my hand the whole time. My doctor kept checking if I was okay and I was like,“Yeah… this kinda feels like getting fillers.” HAHAHA 😂After the injection, I stayed in the hospital for two more days before being discharged. Now I’m back home continuing recovery. The injection isn’t magic — it still takes time for the nerves to calm down.Right now I can stand for about 8 minutes before the pain kicks in. When it comes, it feels like the entire leg suddenly starts cramping and tightening. Sitting is actually worse than standing, which is a huge problem because I can’t even use a wheelchair 😂But I’ve started editing photos again. My routine now is basically:Stand for 8 minutes →Back to bed to lie flat and reset →Stand again.My doctor encouraged me to practice standing and sitting more instead of lying down all day, so I’m trying my best.Honestly I’m quite surprised that I’m able to go through all this with a pretty positive mindset. I think the old me would have had a full mental breakdown by now lol.For now I’m just taking it one small step at a time and feeling hopeful that things will slowly get better. 🙂‍↕️✌🏻Next goal: being able to go out and have a meal at a café. ☕✨ by @yingtze12
