Today we celebrate not just Kylo’s 11th birthday, but a full decade of life together. Ten years since the day he came home, unsure, full of energy and wonder, and changed my world forever.
We’ve been through so much together. Cross-country moves to heartbreaks, from the hardest nights to the softest mornings, he’s been the one constant I could always count on. Through every chapter, even this one, when life feels uncertain again, he stays steady, patient, and full of quiet love.
He’s been there through laughter and tears, through heartbreak and healing. Somehow, he always knows when I’m breaking a little inside. His loyalty, and his warmth it’s been the truest form of love I’ve ever known.
So today isn’t just a birthday. It’s gratitude. It’s my reflection. It’s a reminder that no matter what changes, love, real, unconditional love, remains.
Happy 11th birthday, my best boy. And happy 10 years of being my home. 🤍🩶🖤🐺

It’s almost that time of year again… bonfires, sweaters, hot cocoa, good company. Reminiscing on the past few years’ tradition of making massive fires and enjoying wonderful people. I already miss this day: the smell, the sounds, familiar voices, comforting hugs, the pies… and it hasn’t even arrived yet.

Here are a few updates from mine and Kylo’s #30miledogwalkchallenge fundraiser for #americancancersociety the last couple days we were able make up incomplete miles due to the heat. It’s cooled off enough and we’re now ahead of schedule with 12.9 miles under our belt. Check out my threads page for a link if you’re interested in donating!! Today is a special day. It’s Kylo’s 10th Birthday! 10 years around the sun, 9 years by my side.
Never a dull moment - from his howl dreams to the zoomie growls, the space-hogging snuggles and ushering ‘boops’. Kylo has a gentle and kind soul, but he’s still young at heart and proves every day that there’s something to smile about.
He’s been with me through thick and thin, chaos and calm. He’s my heart and soul, my best friend.
