Planning a wedding is already a lot of work, and it’s even more difficult when you’re not on ground to make sure things go well, these tips will help you have a beautiful wedding without stressing out.

1. Hire a planner you trust
2. Get updates from vendors if you decide to plan it yourself
3. Ask a lot of questions
4. Have a good eye on ground
5. Make payments in installments
6. Arrive early enough for your fittings

Vendor Red Flags 🚩 I wish ever client knew and I didn’t have to learn the hard way as a planner. 😏

Just like in every relationships, there will always be signs!

You need to be very clear about your expectations from vendors and if it doesn’t sit right with you, ask questions, prove it until you find the right one for you.

Have you noticed any red flaps in a vendor or have you been disappointed by one because you didn’t pay attention to the red flags 🚩??

As a planner, one of our biggest challenges is guest management, because people will test you! 😩 No matter how great the event is, someone will still be offended about something.

The beauty of a celebration is to be celebrated, and if it takes away from that, it stops being a celebration and becomes a performance.

And when in doubt, ask yoursel, ““is this what I REALLY want? Does this make me happy or is this just another people pleasing act” 🤍

Guest Etiquette 101

I promise you if you follow these rules you will have the best guest experience wherever you go.

1. Eat at home, don’t come like you’re on a scavenger hunt for food
2. Follow these rules dress code, Men especially are notorious for breaking the rules
3. Seat where you’re assigned, why are you fighting for front seat? It will not matter in HEAVEN!
4. Follow simple instructions, Odogwu, big money spender!
5. Don’t go where you’re not invited!!!!!

The shege I have seen as a planner in the hands of guests are mind boggling, please help us to help you

From the very first day I imagined my wedding till today, I can tell you for free that my taste and preferences have changed but a few things have remained a constant. 😁

- Simple and fun
- Variety of food
- My jumpsuit reception outfit 😂
- A DJ that takes us on a journey
- Guest experience, how everything will look and feel and how people will remember it years after

“One heaven of an experience” is how I like to put it, A time i and my guests will not forget in a hurry.

Can you count the number of times i said “FUN”??
Because that’s the whole point for me to CELEBRATE!

We have normalized certain things in this industry and somehow projected it as normal,

A bunch of these things started off as trends but has slowly become the norm, and people feel obligated to do it like we are all chasing something. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Please by all means have all the things you want and desire to see at your wedding, but when the conversation shifts from I need or want this to I have to have it because everyone else does, then you need to reevaluate what actually matters.

5 things you don’t need to have a beautiful wedding Pt 2.

I can’t emphasize this enough, “Do what makes you happy, but if you will regret it tomorrow, don’t do it”.

That 27 tier cake, what is the reason for it? Aesthetic?? It’s beautiful to look at but not practical, sometimes it’s not even shared to guests at the wedding, so whyyyyy?

You can have a beautiful wedding without trying to play catch up with anyone, Do you!

After yesterday’s conversation about the things you don’t need for a beautiful wedding, I thought it was only fair to talk about what I think actually matters.

Because a beautiful wedding isn’t about having the most things. It’s about creating an experience that feels good to you and your guests.

Feed your guests well.
Give them a reason to celebrate.
Make them comfortable.
Choose the things that genuinely matter to you.
And most importantly, be present enough to enjoy the day you spent so much time planning.

There is no one-size-fits-all formula for a beautiful wedding.

Spend where it matters to you, Let go of what doesn’t.
And don’t let someone else’s wedding become the blueprint for yours.

Plan intentionally. Spend wisely. Enjoy fully. 🤷‍♀️

The wedding industry will have you feeling like you need to have what everybody has to have a good wedding, but I strongly disagree.🤷‍♀️

Everyone has different tastes & preferences and that’s what makes us unique! 🥰

Hear me out!!! 😁

I think Funerals are the easiest events to plan, a little family drama here and there but nothing we can’t handle. 😉

It reminds you how fickle life is and where we are all going to end up but it’s also the most straightforward event to plan, You know the series of events and what’s probably going to happen next.

There will always be last minute occurrences, but show me an event that is fully predictable? 🤷‍♀️
