We are honored to recognize the 2026 Andy Craver Determination Award recipient, Nevaeh Bernal of the Lowes Lightning Swim Team!

Each year we are proud to recognized a North Carolina Swimming athlete who best demonstrates determination to the sport of swimming. Named for Andy Craver who was a top 16 swimmer for TYDE (formerly WSY) who tragically passed in January of 1990. This award recognizes someone who has overcome personal or physical obstacles, demonstrated an incredible work ethic and self-motivation, and maintained a positive attitude toward teammates, coaches, and swimming.

Last night TYDE got to celebrate with the rest of North Carolina Swimming the All Star athletes for the 2025-2026 season!! TYDE had four athletes achieve the “All Star Status”, Chase Galloway, Ryan Galloway, Hawken Tate, and Skylar Zuleger. Athletes were recognized at the annual NC Swim Banquet. They got to spend time and wear Olympic Gold Medals from Olympians Josh Davis and Katharine Berkoff! Some even found time to hangout with their fellow All Star athletes from different teams before the banquet.
