POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We recently completed an incredible 31,000 Bdft. home in Caledon, Project Torbram, wrapping it up at the end of August. This project came with its fair share of challenges and required meticulous attention to detail. Some standout elements included three 20-ft Level 5 skylights 😰, open-to-below spaces, a Level 5 radius wall, and over 40 vent @fittes that needed taping. The results were nothing short of amazing, and the clients were thrilled with the outcome. @eq_construction

Getting a perfect Level 5 finish on this curved fireplace wall was time consuming. The radius wasn’t perfectly round, so we had to build out the outer curves with fast-setting sheetrock, then carve and shape them by hand to get it just right. A ton of work, but the smooth finish was worth it!

Thought it was a quick job… until the wall opened up 😅
If you know, you know in construction nothing is ever “simple”.

Deck Rebuild - Same footprint, whole new life 🔨

Once we opened it up, the old frame had some rot. All three corner stringers got replaced, plus repairs to the rest of the framing, before any new decking went down. Warped boards, safety hazards… gone. ✅

New pressure-treated deck, built on a solid frame, built to code, built to last.

If your deck looks like frame 1, DM us - let's get you to frame 2.

Another one completed for @eq_construction @brookviewhomes 🏡

A great-sized home blending old with new, with plenty of mudwork, patching, and phased finishing. The highlight: a Level 5 fireplace with a half-radius detail. This job was clean, seamless, and finished right. 🔥✨

This commercial unit came with a surprising skylight with a 12-point connecting No-Coat. We brought it to a Level 5 for a flawless smooth finish designed to perform under optimal sunlight.

🏠 Popcorn Ceiling Removal Cost in Ontario (2026 Guide)

Thinking about removing popcorn ceilings? Most homeowners underestimate the cost and effort until they start.

💰 In Ontario, pricing typically ranges:
• $2–$6/sq ft → removal + smooth finish
• $5–$7/sq ft → paint-ready finish
• $6+ /sq ft → full finish with primer & paint

👉 Example project: We recently completed a 1,000 sq ft main floor:

• Full protection
• Dust-controlled removal system
• Skim coat + sanding
• Paint-ready finish

💲 Average cost: ~$5/sqft (no paint)
💲 ~$6–$7/sqft with paint

⚠️ What affects price:

• Painted vs unpainted ceilings
• Vaulted ceilings (more labour)
• Condo vs house access
• Floor protection requirements
• Older homes (possible asbestos risk)

🛠️ Reality check: This isn’t just a “scrape job”, the finish work (skim, sand, paint) is where quality matters most

📍 Serving: Toronto, Vaughan, Mississauga, Brampton, Scarborough, King, Bolton, Oakville, Barrie, and Muskoka.

Look, at the end of the day we're pretty simple people 😄 You pay us to do the job, we do the job. And if for whatever reason we don't? You don't pay a dime. No fine print, no excuses. Just good honest work.
