Cover artwork for ‘When My Wings Are Cut Off’, my new favourite image created for @d4ine, and the star seed of the story I created for the 21 reels spanning the 3 singles.

Last year, after touring with Daine, I saw a vision of them with glass wings whilst drifting off to sleep. We had been ruminating on life and endurance. The next day, on my way to seeing them, @julian_dimase contacted me me with the same vision and shared his drawing of it. This synchronicity affirmed the motif for a meditation I had been sharing with Daine throughout our years working together. That running from pain wasn’t the answer. Instead, if you embrace it and turn the art of resilience into your meaning, you would find that the republic of heaven will be built on earth, designed by your lifetime of choices. That angels are warriors who alchemise pain into creation, and turn endings into beginnings.

It was so special to work with @parisjadeburrows on our looks. We reached out two weeks before the gala with a vision for Mana. From her first sketch to the final stitch, the dress came to life within a week.
