Alright, let’s talk about this whole DJ thing 🎧Never in my life did I think I was going to be DJing in front of my friends let alone a bunch of strangers 🤷🏽‍♂️ I used to like mixing at the house when my brothers were taking breaks from their projects and would try to have as much fun with it as I could. Then one day, I get a call from my little brother @4bangmusic saying I’m playing a show @1upreno and that I should start preparing 😰 Man, did that make me nervous, but I couldn’t say no to my brother. Alright, the story behind the photo. The @thepajamapartytv project uses recent photos for a lil time stamp around each new set and what’s more fitting for mine rn? On February 27, I lost control, thankfully a first for me, off a kicker @borealmtn @woodwardpeacepark doing what I love. I completed the first three hits about 6 times earlier smooth as butter but lost it trying to carry my speed for the 4th hit; the 40-50 foot long and low. I didn’t stick the first smooth and should’ve pulled out, but was bold enough to try and save the run and got bucked trying to pop off my left edge sending me “over the handlebars” resulting in a shattered collarbone, broken ribs and collapsed lung. The outer half of the clavicle punctured my lung causing the lung to collapse. The crash didn’t hurt as the adrenaline was pumping through me, but when I finally got composed my body began panting to aid the lung. That’s when I felt my shoulder was in pieces. Thankful for @reficu.l for taking me to the ER where I stayed over night. After 10 days of managing the pain from bone shards digging into my shoulder I went into surgery to repair the clavicle where Dr. Shannon @reno_ortho put two plates, 12 screws and staples in to hold me together and now I’ve been in recovery patiently waiting for redemption 😈 In between the crash and surgery, I had the privilege of playing for @nicosalvemini’s birthday @deadringer_reno and playing @thebluebirdreno with one of my best friends @tdr.music; thank you @travis_j_rose and @rum__roger for having us. I agreed to perform prior to the crash and wasn’t going to let a lil boo boo hold me back from holding up my end of the bargains. Seeing my brother @4bangmusic do it several years before meant I couldn’t woose out 😠😂 Now my fourth mix and first radio takeover will be airing this Saturday on The PJ Party and I’ll be playing alongside my best friends at The PJ Party Takeover @1upreno on the 26th. Thankful baseball is back, thankful for the music, The PJ Party project, my friends and family for all the support and to the best mom in the world @candacepagedayton. Thank you @marbsdh as your music has been my crutch through all the pain 🙏🏼🙏🏼 by @yoadrian_reno
