For now… all done 💖 Emma had her operation (lumpectomy) to remove the C as diagnosed earlier on today. Op went well as possible… we now wait 5 weeks to see the biopsy results and what course of action is required next. It’s been a tough, long day but one that we are all so thankful for 🙏🏻 As for me, perhaps a good sign when you cook dinner and the potato 🥔 has a smiley 😊 face on it! 25 years ago today I walked into my first shift at William Hill 🤯
Wow. I know there’s quite a few strong opinions but wherever you stand on betting offices and aforementioned company … it’s certainly been a pleasure working with many of you 🔥
I also stand proud that despite often having ill health I’ve managed to find a way to keep working throughout that period, so many memories that stay with me and inevitably people that have sadly passed too 🙏🏻 GBNF 💚
Some of you may even remember sleepers, the aliens , red pens and something called a DTC 🤔

Years ago I worked with a fella who was a little strange. Always talked in percentages. He’d say things like 98% of me understands the plan … but 2% doesn’t. I often wondered which part of him made the 2% 🤔 Today I think I can talk in percentages also. Like 0% of me wants to get out of bed 💤 Yet 100% of me knows I gotta move my candy 🍬 a$$ and get to work 👊🏽

Now my fucking kettle is broken 🤬🤬
This is a BIG deal for a tea ☕️ addict such as myself 🤬
It breaks, when there’s hardly anywhere to replace the darn thing with overnight 🤬🤬

Open question to those who I know with IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) PSC (primary schlerosing cholangitis) liver disease and/or those who had an abdominal type surgery.

Off to be scanned bright and early tomorrow at the QE
This is a DEXA scan which checks bone density, as someone who was first prescribed steroids over 20 years ago now I need these to keep an eye on things.
I no longer take prednisolone since my stoma operation in 2019, however was unfortunately diagnosed with secondary adrenal insufficiency (from taking the steroids for IBD 🤬) that year too … so I have to take another steroid (oral hydrocortisone) to maintain my hormone levels such as cortisol which can drop dangerously low if I tried to come off this medication
All in all it’s a lot to carry at times but we do our best , hoping for a good result and maybe a few nectar points if the scanner malfunctions 🤣💜 by @yodamattibd
