LAREAUX’s perspective: Smoke & Sound rehearsal, pt. 2.

in this music career and journey of mine, I have already found prayer, journaling, and self talk to be some of my greatest and most trusted tools. it’s what got me to this show. it’s what put me around so many other talented and anointed people. and again— it shows me that if I ask, and I take the steps to receive— I’ll get it.

but will I rise to the occasion? cause that’s the real question. that and so many more thoughts have been permeating my ADHD-like brain for hours since I arrived to the rehearsal and felt not only the presence of such great talent, but also, the questioning of my own. not necessarily whether I was good enough— but if I truly had it in me to show up and show out and hold my own. I guess it’s safe to say.. my mettle is being tested.

one day, I can think I’m the coldest nigga ever, and the next— I can be questioning everything I think and if I’m the right person to realize the vision I’ve been given, but I think all signs point to the answer being yes. I just gotta send it.

but besides that… y’all pull up to CenterStaging tn for the show. Doors open at 7pm. the band is fucking amazing (iykyk) and everyone here is a vessel for such amazing talent.

And don’t forget to hit up @imkijafa to donate to the church fund. you know the children need it fa the choir room, and they been raising money da 12 years and ain’t got a new roof yet. 😂😂 by @yodeuce

LAREAUX’s perspective: Smoke & Sound rehearsal— Friday, 11SEP, approximately 2:30am.

at rehearsal last night, boy, did I have a time. I think I was probably the greenest nigga there terms of performing, honestly (this is my second show, but boy do it feel big)— but I was around great company and live music always has a way of making me loosen up and feel alive.

seeing people doing what they love and what they’re amazing at, all while having the most fun in the world is so inspiring to me. It’s honestly amazing how effortless the craft can look when you’ve put thousands of hours in. It never fails to inspire me, and keeps me motivated, yet humble.

here’s to the road to greatness.

anyways… if ya not doing nun tonight, PULL UP. by @yodeuce
