To celebrate 350 years of Lock & Co. Hatters, two historic St James’s businesses have come together to create something entirely new.

Created in collaboration with the House of Floris, Britain’s oldest family perfumers, 1676 is a crisp, woody-amber fragrance for men and women.

The limited-edition hand blend opens with neroli blossom, lavender and carnation, before notes of Australian sandalwood and orris evoke the velvety fabrics of the Lock & Co. workshops, enveloped in rich vanilla and cashmere woods.

Notes reminiscent of chocolate, coffee and tobacco offer a further connection to our past, recalling the history of our building before its hat-making days.

Created together by Floris perfumers and Lock & Co. Hatters, 1676 is hand-blended and hand-poured at the Floris perfumery at 89 Jermyn Street.

Two historic St James’s businesses, brought together by friendship and a shared history to celebrate 350 years of Lock & Co. Hatters.

1676 Eau de Parfum is available in 50ml and 100ml, exclusively from our shop at No. 6 St James’s Street.

“How beautiful are these Extraits!”- not us saying that. @esxenceofficial in Milan, our visitors told me and @louise_farina that our Série Extrait de Cologne was the best they’d smelled at the show. Some came back with friends, just to smell again. Thank you, @farina_cologne , for trusting this creative vision and for our showcases in Milan, Cologne and London. Thank you, @julie.masse.fragrance @mathieunardinperfumer for our artisanal labour of love. Thank you our 🇬🇧 and 🇩🇪 @alexisstrausspr @helenmctiffenpr @classiccommunication.pr . And to our lovely guests and partners for sharing this moment with us and the world. It’s time for clarity, lightness and joy… it’s time for Cologne! #cologne #farina #nicheperfume by @yogi.perfumer

A meeting of heritage, vision, and scent.

At the House of Farina, a new chapter has begun. Ninth-generation perfumer Louise Farina and award-winning fragrance creator Nicola Pozzani, who led the creative direction, worked side by side to reimagine the legendary Original Eau de Cologne for a new generation. From it, six distinct extraits emerged.
Together they range from sparkling fresh citrus to sun-kissed florals and unexpected accords, evoking the artistry and joyful spirit that have defined Farina for centuries.

Inspired by the natural radiance of Southern Italy and the effortless beauty of the Mediterranean, Série Extrait de Cologne is a luminous new collection, marking a vibrant rebirth and a new chapter for the world’s oldest perfume house. by @yogi.perfumer
