Summer ‘26 has been all about dancing ✨

And yet, the best part has been having @ramenkittymuse as my accomplice, personal hype woman, dance partner, carpool buddy, stylist, muse… I’m simply so blessed by her presence in my life 💕

Not only did she record this clip, but if you listen closely, you can hear her hyping me up and giggling in the background 🥹✨

Tambor Party holds a special place in my heart 💚

The drum🪘 itself has many ancient meanings.

To begin with, it’s said that it’s our primal rythm… it brings us back to our mother womb, where her heartbeat was our first drum, marking the rythm of our creation ✨

As a Puerto Rican, a mix of cultures, we were told the Africans where the ones who brought drums to our island. Taíno people had their maracas. 🪇 That’s where a beautiful exchange of music and dance started.

Also — in Hindu tradition, Shiva carries a drum and plays it for the Dance of Destruction…. Perhaps this is why dancing to the rythm of the drums allow us to release and transmute what no longer serves us. ✨ by @yoginitaina

I may be biased, but I think this is a pretty cool sequence to begin your practice. 😜

It’s a little outside the norm while still honoring traditional asanas and activating the entire body in a playful, intentional way.

Practice with me. 🧘🏽‍♀️

This is one of my favorite ways to ground and center myself before moving into my asanas.

This pranayama consists of:
• 3 conscious breaths
• Fire breath with cactus arms
• 3 rounds of breath hold with spinal flexion & extension

During the breath hold, gently tuck the chin toward the chest and round the spine. As you inhale, lengthen through the spine from the base to the crown and lift the gaze.

Save this practice for whenever you need a mindful reset. ✨

Lately, I’ve been missing my homeland and its waters so deeply.

I miss walking, running, and climbing rocks and trees barefoot. I miss wearing very little and feeling wildly free.

Sometimes I miss it so much that I ask myself why I traded it for new territory.

15 years later, I AM GIVING BACK ✨
Always honoring my roots, teachers, and self-journey.

Flexibility and strength are not requirements to practice yoga, but rather by-products of consistent practice. The key is to do it because it must be done — for your Self and all your relations.

When you practice trusting the process, believing in yourself, and finding inspiration in a righteous teacher, the reward becomes a sense of alignment between body, mind, and jiva (soul).

The goal of yoga is to become jivamukta — a liberated soul.
