To celebrate my one year anniversary of being on Instagram (was actually back in February), decided to reintroduce myself to my new friends

Born in Hawai’i to a military family. Korean-American by blood and heart. Raised in Japan though. 🤙🏼

Enlisted in the U.S. Army out of HS. Had my adventure in my fatigues until 2010. Went to college. Dropped out of college. Delivered flowers and worked at Target selling hotdogs and popcorn.

Lost myself big time. At my lowest of lows…I was digging through trash to collect recyclables to make ends meet. At least until the 5-0 said I wasn’t allowed to…

I was broken and broke. Was asked to come to Texas to watch family’s new house. Great. Lonestar State. I was already lonely as it is…ain’t got crap out here for me…or so I thought…

I’m now married to a local Korean-Texan cowgirl lol. Have two wonderful boys. Been a fulltime teacher for five years now…at a disciplinary campus at that so I see the challenges of the young.

A year ago I started this Instagram because Mommio and Sissio encouraged me to start it. I was obsessed with Disney. Had the Disney Blues. And here I am with 2.6k new friends. Surprisingly, a lot of fellow Veterans who were going through the same as me. But Veteran or not…yall my Disney friends. And I’m forever grateful…

I love Buzz Lightyear. PotC addicted. Disneyland is my home park, but RESPECT WDW as well! I’m a follow for follow type of guy. Not chasing followers, so if you follow…I follow!

There’s so much to do and eat whenever we go on our Disney trips.

And then once you leave, they announce something new 🥴! You haven’t even tried everything already had from the last time they announced!

Anyways, by order of appearance, this is just SOME of the food items we had from our August trip to the West Coast Disney Parks:

When we were young…we dreamt about growing older to do things we wanted…excited about what the world had for us. How much we can explore…

But we didn’t take into consideration of how the world changes as we grow up, too. How our minds change. How our paths in life change.

That ambition we had as kids…man…where did it go?

My mind is telling me I can do it.

But the body sometimes just can’t keep up.

That’s what I’m afraid of experiencing going into my 40s.

Dreading the day that I no longer can’t bench 315 or walk up the stairs without having to catch my breath at the top.

My first “Food Friday” 😋

Name - Chocolate Croissant Cookie

(Basically took a chocolate croissant and smashed it. Baked it. Put some sugar on top.)

Where To Get It? - Maurice’s Treats next to the Royal Theater. To the left of the Disneyland Castle looking from Main Street.

Cost - $7.49 as of October 2026 (We’ll see how that goes with the constant rising prices…)

Pairs well with Boysen Apple Freeze in my opinion!

Hawai’i born. Japan raised. Korean by blood. Military BRAT (Born Raised and Trained). Residing in Texas!

Disney Lore started back in MK during the late 80s, but was fully immersed into it all during elementary school years, frequenting Tokyo Disneyland and eventually Disney Sea!

Enlisted in the Army out of high school. Eventually landed in California for college. Took many trips down to Anaheim to visit the OG Disney park, which led to calling Disneyland and DCA his home parks.

Aside for his love of Disney, Daddio enjoys his time in the gym. He especially likes to combine Disney and workout contents together to show how gym time can be fun and creative.

Daddio is always open for collaborations, small business support, and cheering on the Disney Community. His instagram is @yoho.daddio

Daddio is an educator by profession, but enjoys more of the mentorship most to guide students through the realities of life outside of academia. The YoHo immediate family consists of Mommio, Kiddio, and Babio 😊!

Teacher fatigue is a real thing. Everyone says we should get paid more. Everyone says our benefits should improve.

I just need parents to do their jobs at home with the young ones, so we can do ours in the classroom.

Having worked with underprivileged students for three years, and then working in a blessed district where the socioeconomic demographics is a bit better…I’ve seen a clear resemblance of the two different sides of the academic spectrum - that teaching starts at home. And not academic teaching, but social and emotional teaching.

Parents, be present. I’m guilty of this, too. But be present. It’s never too late to be so. It may be difficult to keep going, but believe me…in the long run it’ll be worth for you.

I’m not a professional parent by any means. But from my observation as a full-time educator…having worked with students from SO MANY spectrums of demographics out there…absent mentorship from home is what’s traced back to the origin story of why a student behaves, reacts, and speaks the way they do.

I know us parents are doing the best we can…and I thank you for giving it all. And as parents, we can always dig a little deeper to give our children the strong foundational base they need to get through life. 🤙🏼

Let’s be present together.

Some of the Disney Dads have been in the loop, but I’ve been in a rut lately…

Instagram can be really fun, but can also be a really Debbie Downer. You make awesome friends along the way, but can’t help to notice some of them are making it big while you’re still struggling to make it to 500 views.

But wait a second…weren’t you just doing this for fun anyways?……Well gosh darn it……you’re right “Daddio from a year ago”. This was all supposed to be just for fun.

Don’t get me wrong…I’m rooting for my Disney Dads, Moms, Dudes, and Dudettes out there! And if you know me I’m always there to cheer everyone on.

However, maybe it’s time to take a few steps back for me and just remember I’m doing this just for fun.

With inflation being a huge pain in the 🍑…Disney decides to continue to increase prices. And I really didn’t think they were gonna keep raising prices at such a fast rate. It seems like every several months they’re doing this 💩…

And I’ve already accepted the fact that our Disney trips will not be as frequent as they once were. Not even once a year anymore. Hell, not even every two years…

I love doing Disney posts. But I think maybe it’s time for a change and explore other content…WITH Disney related content still being at the top though 😝

Through all this, however, my wife has been right beside me. You don’t see Mommio…nor Kiddio and Babio…in my reels. Their privacy is important to us. But believe me…my family have been the strongest supporters of my page and if I had just them as followers…that’s who all I ever need on here.

BUT!!!!

I’d like to thank you all who have been on this journey with me since the beginning. The YoHo Crew is continuing to grow! Less than 1500 followers to go until I hit that 5K! And boy it’s gonna be a giveaway that you won’t wanna miss! Along with my family, the YoHo crew has stuck by me. Yes…we lost followers along the way. But that’s because they weren’t YoHo material to be part of this crew ✌️So thank y’all again for being my friends and inspiration to keep showing love.
