🗣️ BEATS FOR LEASE - Now listed on my own website 🙏🏾💛

So, I finally made a website! And my music is on there, available to listen to or purchase! I’m still updating everything to make it look how I want but the process has been an enjoyable one. It’s great to have a central location for all things related to my art and I’m looking forward to how it’ll continue taking shape over time.

Appreciate anyone and everyone who listens to any music I make. I don’t take it for granted.

Link is in my bio!

Made this quick #boombap style beat on the #mpcone and I didn’t use any plugins, just the drum kit that was already on it. It sounds like something I could hear Common or Talib Kweli rap on.

Let me know if you’re feeling it!

A few years ago I wrote a song about patience and I want to share the first verse with you.

This song came out of a season of learning to wait on God in the midst of difficulty, while wrestling with discerning His voice, and sitting with the uncertainty that comes when you don’t know what to do next.

I’ve recently found myself in a different but similar season, and the lyrics I wrote then still resonate now.

If you’re currently waiting on something, whether it’s an outcome, a breakthrough, or an answer, I hope this encourages you to trust and wait patiently on God, especially in the moments of doubt.

We won’t always know the outcome or see the bigger picture, but we can trust that He does, which allows us to lean not on our own understanding but on Him, taking the next step that’s been revealed and trusting Him to reveal the rest of His plan in His timing.

Here are some Bible verses that have been encouraging me in this season:

“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT

“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.”
Romans 5:3-4 NLT

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭31‬ ‭NLT‬‬ by @yokeliief

I never thought to plug my midi keyboard into my #mpcone, but it makes such a difference. 🎹🤯

Let me know what you think!

“Baecation” is a track that I produced on The Affected Vol. 1 Beat Tape!

The Affected is a collective of producers who were brought together through the #audioaffectseries, in which we were all a part of an amazing project thanks to @tecleimert, @undefeatedfoundation and @seratoproduction

Inspired by that experience, we decided to branch out and create something special of our own for the summer.

What began as a shared opportunity evolved into a collective of producers united by creativity, community, and a passion for beat culture.

Join us this Sunday 6/28 at @hellostrangerla to hear some amazing dj and beat sets from our fellow producers as we kick off the summer! 🌴🔥 taken in Los Angeles, California by @yokeliief

Been working on a new beat but not sure what to call it. Has a kind of relaxing, sitting in nature type of vibe to it.

I finally got around to using my #mpcone that I bought during covid and it’s a lot of fun. Hadn’t touched it in years, as I usually just make music on my computer. But I figured why not wipe the dust off of it and see what it’s capable of. So far, I’m really enjoying trying things out and learning how to do more with it!

Looking forward to making this a significant part of my set up from now on.

Huge thank you to
@serato, @tecleimert, @illcamille, @theparisaesthetic, @mrsonnyjames, @kutcorners and every single individual who contributed to making this release party an absolute success. The opportunities that you all create and the ways you support so many amazing, talented, dedicated creatives is inspiring and encouraging.

I had a lot of fun this past Friday and I genuinely appreciate all my friends and family who pulled up to show support. It really meant a lot to me to and I’m grateful to have celebrated such an incredible moment with some incredible people.

Every producer on this project is extremely talented and your artistry deserves to be recognized and supported! I’ll forever appreciate the opportunity to have music I made in my bedroom be played out loud for a bunch of people. It’s an awesome feeling. Looking forward to doing more things like this. ✨ by @yokeliief
