Still floating from being back on the decks at @solsticefestival.atitlan at @eaglesnestatitlan this past December ✨ It took me a minute to land back into sharing… motherhood has a way of reshaping time, focus, and flow. So thank you for your patience with me. But here it is, finally. A piece of that night, a piece of where I’m at, a piece of what moved through me then. I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I did playing it 🖤 link in bio by @yooni.sound
Hey friends! 🌿 I wanted to share a little update about how I’m organizing my online spaces. This profile (@yooni.sound) will remain focused on my music. my journey as a DJ, my sets, and everything that inspires me creatively in that realm. Music has been a huge part of my life, and I’m excited to keep sharing this adventure with you here. 🎶 But as many of you know, I’m also on a deeply personal journey, 37 weeks pregnant and preparing to step into motherhood! Alongside that, my passion for herbalism, gardening, and homesteading has been growing stronger. These parts of my life are so meaningful to me, and I’ve realized they need their own dedicated space. So, I’ve created a new profile where I’ll be sharing everything about herbs, plants, homesteading, pregnancy, and soon-to-be motherhood. If you’d like to follow along, I’d love to have you join me over there at @anna_merel 🌸 Thank you all for being part of my journey, whether through music, life, or both. 💕 by @yooni.sound
Y’all, it feels so surreal to be writing this 36-week post! On one hand, it feels like I’ve been pregnant forever… but it also seems like just yesterday I found out there was a life growing inside me! I'm letting the last leaves fall as this season of life begins to change. Pregnancy has brought so much transformation. so many emotions and an opportunity to navigate through unresolved parts of myself. I’ll be honest, it hasn’t been easy. But I’m grateful for what this journey has taught me and for the chance to grow into a new version of myself. As I prepare to step into birth and the early days of motherhood, I know another transformation awaits me. A complete shift into the unknown. It’s a process I know will be filled with its own challenges and moments of incredible beauty. Just as the seasons change, I am reminded that letting go makes space for the new. Recently, I had the chance to do a photoshoot with my lovely friend @corie__bee . This special series of pictures captures not only the joy of building a family but also the closing of another chapter. Over the past few years, I poured my heart into creating my dream home, and now, right on time before little bubs arrives, I feel such a sense of completion. Of course, it's a never-ending process, but for now, I’m soaking in this space I’ve crafted, watching the plants and trees in our garden slowly take root and grow. by @yooni.sound

My set from Mystic Creatures Festival 2024 is online! (link in bio) I started a little later than planned at 00:50am 9/9/24 at the Freaky Forest stage. This was a very special one for me. with months in the planning and getting pregnant on the way. My unborn child and I boogied a lot during this set. A big thanks to Mystic Creatures for inviting me to play, it was an honor to play among many of my favorite artists. I hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think :) :) #djset #dj #music #djlife #techno #housemusic #djs #party #electronicmusic #dance #house #pioneerdj #djing #psytech #technomusic #djlifestyle #festival #musica #producer #nightlife #djmix #rave #dancemusic #musicfestival #femaledj by @yooni.sound

Goodbye 20's This last week, I've been finishing a lot of construction at my house. After installing the new kitchen that I'd been envisioning for years, I sat down and looked around: holy shit, I'm growing up! Luxury was never my priority. I've lived in squats, communities, in my tent, volunteering... and now I'm sitting here in my completely furnished house, with a proper kitchen, a couch, and a dining table. I have a dog, a lovely partner, and a baby on the way. And now I'm stepping into my 30's... This year has really been the end of an era. To speak the truth, these past couple of years have been pretty wild. I knew that grounding and a family weren't that far away, so I allowed myself to be young for a couple more years. I partied, I danced, I traveled, went to festivals, I lived and squeezed the last bit out of my 20's. And I'm just dedicating this post to my spliff sisters💕. Because without you all, my 20's wouldn't have been this fun 😊 so much love for @alivealignedallison @karenaabeana @killy_kaiyote1212 @brooke_mackay @geegee_luna @corie__bee @freecrystyle @andreaaa.el and @adeline_english_ by @yooni.sound
motherhood Here we are. I always knew this day would come. A call to motherhood has been there since I was a little girl and now it's happening it still seems so unreal. It is the most natural thing a woman can experience and at the same time it's magic, a miracle and so surreal that we are capable of creating life. Being pregnant was the push I needed to find my way to living in a more grounded place. With pregnancy I'm no longer the person I thought I was, but not yet the person I become. Becoming a mother doesn't mean I'm stopping to be myself, it means that I have the unique opportunity to become the person I truly wanna be, the person I'm meant to be: a woman who experiences herself as centered, whole, and stronger than she's ever been before. I know that I will not only be birthing a baby, but also my new self. I am grateful for my community. To have such a big group of women around me, some who are mothers, some who are aunties and some who are mothers to be. I'm grateful for my partner @parlocablo , and proud of the father he is going to be. I am soo excited to meet you little one! Due in december 2024 💕 by @yooni.sound
