Some of the best Fringe experiences happen in spaces you might not expect.

We’re excited to have The Hangar York as part of York Fringe Festival and grateful for their support in giving our performers and audiences another place to experience something completely different.

This week, venues throughout York become part of the Fringe, and The Hangar is one of them. Come see what’s happening! See our full schedule at YorkFringe.org! by @yorkfringefest

Happenstancery is making its York Fringe Festival debut with a moment of pure serendipity! Meet the cast, next up is a special guest improviser @jolooney731

Jenifer O’Looney is Connecticut based improviser, musical improviser, comedy actor, and producer.
In 2025, Jenifer began studying Playback Theatre growing her knowledge of story telling and human connection in improv.
Jenifer is the Producer of Hip Hop Revolution Game Show and Trivia. In September 2026, she will be performing Belfast and Dublin Ireland improv festivals.

Hailing from New Paltz, NY, this one-of-a-kind improv troupe blends interactive adventures, musical interludes from host Jolly Joe Jester, and a live, never-before-seen improvised award show into an unforgettable experience.

The group has previously performed at the Catskill Comedy Festival, Hill People’s Comedy Festival, and The Producers Club in New York City, and is currently working on a documentary.

Thank you all for helping make this exciting milestone possible. Here’s to a weekend full of laughter, creativity, and saying “Yes, and!”

Dun-DUN! Law & Order SIU is a fully improvised, full episode of America’s longest running procedural loaded with York flavor. The show begins with the discovery of the body then takes the audience through the suspects and false starts of the police investigation, examination of evidence, public arrest, and a full trial ending with a verdict decided by the jury. There are even commercial breaks for fictional products. We played the Festival last year and are excited to have a chance to return.

Catch Law & Order SIU: Special Improv Unit on Sunday, August 23, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. upstairs at Rockfish Public House. Tickets are $15, and the performance is rated PG-13. Tickets and the full festival schedule are available at yorkfringe.org. by @yorkfringefest
