We all have agency — it’s just hard to exercise it when everything society pushes down our throats are addictive, unhealthy, and sources of cheap dopamine.

Be aware of what you put into your brain, body, and soul.

I challenge you to pick one day this week and:

- Eat only whole foods (or nothing at all)
- Drink a gallon of water
- Exercise for 30 minutes
- Keep your phone’s screen time under 2 hours
- Meditate for at least five minutes
- Hand-write one full page about anything
- Read 20 pages of any book

You’re grown, so prove to yourself that you have agency. Don’t be a slave to your impulses! by @you.now.official

Most people don’t realize we’re still living in Medicine 2.0.
We wait until something breaks before we act.
We treat symptoms instead of systems.
We confuse “not sick” with “healthy.”

Medicine 3.0 flips the script.
It’s not about managing disease — it’s about avoiding it entirely.
It’s movement as medicine.
Breath as therapy.
Community as care.
And access as prevention.

That’s what You Now Initiative exists for.
We make wellness affordable so you can invest in your health before the crisis comes.

Because prevention isn’t privilege — it’s the future.

🩵 Follow @YouNowInitiative to move your moment.
💬 Comment “3.0” if you’re done waiting to get sick to start healing.

Somatic movement isn’t just “exercise.” It’s a way of inhabiting your body more fully.
When we think about movement, most people split it into categories—lifting weights, running, yoga, meditation. But martial arts sit in a rare space where those worlds collide. They’re a living example of the mind-body connection in action.
In martial arts, every strike, every block, every step is guided by breath and awareness. You’re not just “doing reps,” you’re tuning into tension, release, and flow. That’s somatic movement—learning to feel your body from the inside out, instead of just “using” it.
What makes martial arts so unique is the dual nature of the training:
Meditation: The rhythm of breath, the stillness between movements, the awareness of posture and balance. It’s a moving meditation, a way to quiet the noise and let instinct rise to the surface.

Resistance training: You’re not lifting barbells, but you’re conditioning tendons, ligaments, and muscle fibers through kicks, strikes, grappling, and stance work. The resistance isn’t just physical—it’s mental. It’s the discipline to keep showing up, to hold a stance longer than you thought possible, to spar and remain calm when adrenaline spikes.

Together, those two elements create something medicine has only recently started to recognize: a holistic practice that sharpens the mind, strengthens the body, and calms the nervous system.
Martial arts aren’t about fighting—they’re about integration. About learning to stay centered in chaos. About teaching your nervous system that challenge doesn’t mean panic. About making stress into a tool, not an enemy.
And when you step off the mat, that training stays with you. Suddenly, everyday stress feels lighter. Your body feels alive in ways that no treadmill can give you. You’re not just stronger—you’re more present.
That’s the true gift of somatic movement. That’s why martial arts are more than a workout. They’re the perfect intersection of meditation and resistance training—a practice for the body, mind, and spirit all at once.

We’ve been taught to see stress as the enemy. But here’s the truth: not all stress is bad. In fact, short-term stress—also called hormetic stress—is one of the most powerful tools for building a stronger, healthier body and mind.

Think about it: when you sprint, step into an ice bath, lift heavy weights, or even sit in a sauna, you’re intentionally putting your body under temporary pressure. It feels uncomfortable in the moment, but what happens next is where the magic lies. Your body adapts. It becomes tougher, smarter, and more resilient.

Cold exposure (ice baths, cold showers): Trains your nervous system to handle discomfort, floods your body with norepinephrine (focus and mood boost), and even strengthens your immune response.

Sprints and HIIT: Push your cardiovascular system to its limits for short bursts, increasing VO₂ max, improving insulin sensitivity, and skyrocketing growth hormone. Translation: you get faster, stronger, and healthier in less time.

Strength training: Temporary stress on your muscles leads to long-term gains in strength, bone density, and metabolism. You’re literally building a more durable body rep by rep.

Heat exposure (saunas, hot yoga): Elevates heat shock proteins, boosts circulation, supports recovery, and has even been linked to longevity.

The secret is in the recovery. Stress → recovery → adaptation. Repeat this cycle, and you don’t just survive—you evolve. Your body and brain learn that they can handle more than you thought possible.

So the next time you’re shivering in the plunge, gasping after a sprint, or dripping in the sauna, remember: this is you growing stronger. Short-term stress sharpens the blade of your resilience.

Would you try one of these stressors this week? Which one do you think would push you the most?

Medicine 2.0 is what you’re used to. Rather, it’s a lucrative industry that you’ve been conditioned to be used to. Where you live mindlessly, until your sedentary lifestyle and chronic stress catches up to you and causes disease that is treated with pharmaceuticals.

Medicine 3.0, a term coined by Dr. Peter Attia, attacks disease at the root, allowing us to live healthier, longer. We avoid illness through an active lifestyle. We promote longevity.

We promote preventative wellness.

Not all preventative wellness is accessible to everyone. That’s what we aim to change. Gyms won’t lose a cent while you save hundreds of dollars.

If you believe in a Medicine 3.0 Renaissance, drop a follow and join us on this journey.

Oh, and sign up for our waitlist if you want YOUR wellness activity of choice to be paid for.

Most people don’t “hate working out”.
They’ve just never had the chance to find what they actually enjoy.

They’ve truth?
Free workouts are boring.
The fun stuff - BJJ, Spin, Yoga - is locked behind high price tags.
The system makes fitness a privilege.

It’s not about discipline. It’s about access.
And that’s exactly what we’re changing at @you.now.official
