Lost my friend and colleague Jaime on Friday. He was a wonderful human, and died doing what he loved.

Jaime was always ready with a smile and his calm charismatic demeanor shone through whenever interacting with him. We could all count on Jaime to work with what was in front of him to come to a positive solution for all involved.

Personally, Jaime was a partner of a wonderful woman he adored, Judy, and father of two young men (Alvie and Marcus IIRC) who he was proud to be involved in their hobbies and lives, while supporting them to become fully enabled young adults with drive and dedication. Jaime was also passionate about music, having been a music teacher and instructor in a former career. He enjoyed playing tuba and trumpet, and practiced regularly when he could. He was also an aficionado of fine cigars and good whisky.

Jaime also was a leader in his personal life with his motorcycle club, the Flaming Knights, following in his father’s footsteps, regularly giving of his time to help communities local and far flung. He will be sorely missed by many, and remembered fondly as well.

Glad I got to spend a few days with him last month hanging out and traveling around CA. I came across this picture from a trip back in 2019 while reminiscing. Cheers to living life to the fullest!

RIP brother, until we meet again I’ll miss you and hope to keep alive the memories we shared. by @youbrandon
