We definitely couldn’t wait! Shortly after a very last-minute baby shower, little brother bear made his arrival. So here are some of my favorite moments from our shower, just a little late.

On the day I remember reflecting on the fact that my company was a mix of those I knew before marriage, those that came into my life as a result of my marriage, and those that started walking alongside of me in motherhood - relationships I’ll never take for granted.

I am so grateful for my mom who took on the challenge of bringing the details together with the help of my mother in law & sister in law (who graciously provided her home within 36 hours of returning from a month abroad), to my dad and step mom for making a beautiful custom backdrop sign, and to all the friends and family who came to celebrate (or sent love to) our growing family.

And a special shoutout to our photographer @peytonmariahphoto for capturing all of our special moments, including this one. This album was a gift, but your role in our life is truly the gift! Thank you for memorializing our dream shower!! by @yougokjojo

Closing in on the end of another pregnancy, anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first son. I can’t help but reflect on this time, knowing that being their first home will always be the best thing my body will ever do 🤍

As always, thank you to @peytonmariahphoto for always being ready to frolic in our backyard (even on the hottest, most humid days), and for capturing another season of our lives so beautifully!

Happy due date to the baby I’ll never know. Today was so beautiful. The perfect weather - sunshine, green grass, flowers in bloom - everything I’d imagined would come with an April due date and a spring baby. I don’t know who they would have been, but I took today’s weather as a sign that everything is as it should be, and I will forever hold space for them on this date.

While there is sadness here, there’s also so much hope. This storm is coming to an end as we are get closer to meeting our rainbow baby, due this August 🌈🤍

Pregnancy loss, even one so early, holds more loss than just that moment. It’s the hopes, the plans, the version of your life you start building the second you see pink lines. And pregnancy after loss never feels quite the same.

After months of blood draws, tests, and waiting for my body to regulate, seeing “pregnant” again felt different. The joy was there, but quieter and with hesitation. I went from documenting everything from day 1, to not being able to capture much at all until nearly halfway through.

If you’re walking through pregnancy loss or pregnancy after loss, I see you. It can feel incredibly lonely, like a club no one wants to join. I hope your rainbow is coming soon, too ❤️‍🩹 by @yougokjojo

I almost skipped family photos this year…which is weird, because my personal mantra has always been “always book the photos” (and yes, always grab the BTS). But this year looked different than we expected.

I had pictured these photos as the moment we’d announce our family was growing. When those plans changed, I lost a bit of creative spark and didn’t feel ready to reimagine what our session could be. But as the year wrapped up, I knew I didn’t want to miss documenting this season of toddlerhood—just us three, exactly as we are right now. I really do believe everything unfolded the way it was meant to, giving us a little more 2:1 time with our girl. And that’s what we captured here, a perfect moment in time.

Thank you, @peytonmariahphoto, for photographing every chapter of our life—from engagement to wedding to maternity to holiday traditions, and all the last-minute “can you squeeze us in?” moments. I’m so grateful for your art (when I have a vision and for when I don’t). I can’t wait to see how you continue to frame our family!
