Most people who miss out on scholarships were qualified.

They made one small mistake, and that gave the panel a reason to move on.

Panels read hundreds of applications, so they don't have time to be generous. A wrong file format, a referee who got your request too late, can all hinder your scholarship.

The slides cover simple things to check for before you submit your application.

This November, we will be hosting two GlobalWins sessions on Winning the Mastercard Scholarship. We'll go through common mistakes and review essays live.

First session: 8th November, 2026.
Second session: 15th November, 2026.

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝟲𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆, 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮! 🇳🇬

Today we celebrate a nation born with promise, and a young generation ready to carry it forward.

Nigeria's story has seen challenges and triumphs, but one thing has never changed: the strength, creativity, and resilience of its people.

Today, that spirit lives most boldly in our young people, who are building, leading, and refusing to wait for change to come to them.

At YOULEAD International, we believe the Nigeria we dream of is shaped by young leaders who show up with vision, courage, and integrity.

To every young Nigerian turning potential into purpose: this country is yours to build.
𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆!
